When we were stationed in England, I always dreamed of finding a trunk full of dolls, the closet I came was when one of the antique dealers than I had gotten to know, she called to tell me she had cleared an old house and found a trunk in the attic, most of what was in there was linen but there was an Armand Marseilles doll inside that was in excellent condition. She was 26" and had her mohair still in good condition, it was short but looks like the original owner, probably a little girl, had cut it but it was still full. Usually the rats got a hold of the mohair and would eat it but this one was good. She sold me the doll for $75 and that was in 1973, and I still have her, she was my first antique doll and I treasure her and hopefully my daughter will keep her in the family, but if not, she has been a lot of joy to have. thank you for sharing Holland Diane with all of us, she is a doll too!
Hello Rachel,Linda,Paul,Stanley, and precious Holland Diane Thank you forfilming all of these beautiful things, that meant so much to the collectors, buts so much more than that, everytime you repair them, fix their hair, broken limbs, you are honoring all of those who loved them so much! keeping them in fantastic shape for the future! Thank you all so much!
Rachel, I really LOVED this doll haul reveal in the hope chest💖💖!!! My favorites are the Effenbee Bubbles Composition Doll, small African American Doll with a hearts on her red dress❤, Boy Doll cloth doll dressed in Lederhosen and a German like hat made in Hungry💚, large African American Cloth Doll💖, 💜the cloth Doll with purple gown with a 15th century ruffled collar💜, and the blonde rag doll @ 6:05 with a royal blue coat💙 as well as a blue dress with yellow💛 and red designs❤!!! And that Baby quilt is so cute too!! My Late Dad might have been interested in the Navajo Dolls because when my Late Dad first came to America, he did volunteer work on a Navajo Reservation on the West Coast!! I have a Native American Doll, but she is not homemade by a Navajo Person. Talk about Babies Holland Diane looks like she want to crawl on an adventure through the Doll Shop🧸🧸💜💜💜!! I really LOVE seeing Holland Diane who is the sweetest and cutest of all the Dolls💖💖💖!! And I would LOVE to see Paul's 112 American Doll Collection❤❤❤!!! Rachel, thank you for sharing with us all the Dolls Paul and Linda help take out of the hope chest, have Stan help out with Holland Diane's adventures, and have Holland Diane be a part of the video as always💛💛💛💛💛!!!
Nice to have a brother to lend some muscle. And he shares similar interests Holland Diane is cute as ever. I got a glimpse of a doll the reminded me of one my Grandpa brought me from Guadalajara. I was born in California. Stay well and safe. From Tennessee
I love Paul's sense of humor! Tell him I have a big collection of American Girls, probably because I have 4 daughters and now 2 granddaughters. He will need to explain to us about the bodies. I'll be on the lookout for a Nellie!
That was amazing to have the two trunks donated, with so many dolls and items from someone's life. Was interesting to share this with us. Thank you and looking forward seeing Paul's collection .
WOW!!!! What an Awesome Find/Gift! Shop is looking GOOD!!! So Exciting to go there! Such a Great Video!!! LOVE your little Holland crawling! Time sure Flys. Maybe you put some up Ebay? I be watching. Glad to see Paul! Your MOM be so happy 😊 see you ALL Enjoying what she loved most!
The yo-yo dresser top runner brought me back to my childhood. On Sundays in the winter or if it was cold or rainy my grandmother had yo-yos cut out for us to gather. As we got older we learned to cut them out and then as our skills got better she taught us how to sew them together.
I’ve been feeling quite down recently and your videos have helped take me to a happy place. I don’t have a big doll collection but it is slowly growing! Sending love from Brighton, England❤️
Wonderful presentation Rachel, Paul still has a sense of humor and wow Linda and Stanley still looking good. And of course the boss,, Holland Diane is inspecting the floors to make sure there's no cracks and if any repairs need to be done. The shop is looking good Rachel,,,, I hate to break this to you but again one of my granddaughters and myself thought for a moment that we saw Grandma Diane peeking around the corner with a big smile on her face,,, so I guess she's proud of what you're doing to the shop... Please have a great wonderful day yours truly ,,, the dust devils from Nevada. The time now is 10:05 a.m. Monday July 25th 2022
Wow on these trunks that is alot of history in them... love those quilts I love dolls and of course quilts and I sew them also ..so are selling these on line or in the shop...
This is more exciting than Storage Wars. Have you ever received a doll in one of these hauls that was spooky? Looking on eBay, a Tessie talking doll really seemed unnerving. Fun topic for Halloween.
The comical spooky dolls “is just people‘s projections… I am an empath and have over 2000 dolls… Not one is spooky. I know it’s a lot of fun for people to pretend and for many it doesn’t seem like it’s pretend… But it indeed is. The spooky doll and creepy doll phase of the recent years is ruining the Doll industry and taking away the nurturing effects that Dolls have for small children because older adults are no longer sharing their love of Dolls with the younger generation. And we wonder why there seems to be less nurturing in our children. It’s not healthy to project that onto Dolls or onto the next generation. When I work in assisted living facilities… Not one person talks about creepy dolls or has had an experience with a creepy doll… It’s all from the younger generations that have watched to many movies or heard from other people their stories all of which again I believe are projections
@@kellysmith8269 this makes a lot of sense. I was badly frightened by a movie where dolls came to life at an inn and attacked the guests. I was afraid my dolls would greet me at the top of a dark staircase. I love dolls but sometimes those childhood fears creep in.
Great video and dolls! Let us know what Paul’s channel is and I’ll be sure to subscribe. He seems like such a sweetheart and I hope he finds the Nellie doll. 💕

Can't wait to see what's going on.
Thanks for joining!
Make a bench out of the cedar chest. You could store things in there like Christmas or toys.
I will take the doll being held by the person wearing the blue shirt...seems so life-like! Lol.
LOL! She is VERY lifelike!
I love babies and dolls! If I lived in Colorado, I would love to help with Holland Diane. I am a Texan though! Smile!

The red-haired cloth doll with the fancy dress and high lace collar is Queen Elizabeth I.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was fun! I still have some baby clothes I saved. I guess this generation doesn’t? Lol
When are you doing the virtual doll convention? Miss you at UFDC
The end of August. I hope the UFDC event is amazing. Will miss seeing everyone!
Let me know when Paul starts his channel. I am big ag fan
Can you wash and old quilt!
Sometimes! It depends on the way it’s made. We sometimes dry clean them, too.
