Michael, love those old cars. I thought that metal knocking was the TQ converter bolts as I have seen that a few times in my old career. Noises can be misleading but it actually drove you to other potential problems to address. You saved another fine vehicle. Congrads to DAD! I am 72 now and still like to tinker when I can. What is going on with the Falcon? Any future love for it?

Great subject matter on this video on a number of issues looked into and also being a car rarely seen now made this video even more enjoyable. Around 1970-72, one of my classmates (class of 1974) had a car exactly like this (except being light blue with blue interior). Until Ford made the push with the "total performance" Fords on the 1963 1/2 models, this car was more about economy and no frills low cost. After that push cars like this were more optioned out with the hardtop bodies, bucket seats, etc. Just subscribed. Thanks.

Congratulations 🎉on three years and more so for have your dad bye your side helping you build them cars!!!And Chris congratulations on working with your son, your retirement as a machinist and your spark for details as it shows with your son👍my dad was a mechanic and I got started in his garage at 11 years old helping him rebuild engines and transmissions and for almost 8 years dragging cars out to his house and fixing them up or parting them out with his help and knowledge was and is priceless as my dad is 80 years old and as your son knows this is truly the best thing money 💰cant buy!!!!!!
Can’t wait to watch your next chapter in the channel and your new memories you and your dad create🥳👍👍👍

The first car I drove was my dad's 63 fairlane 260 3 on the tree. In the first summer I burnt the rear tires bald. That little car would fly. I wish I could find another one. My first car was a 66 Galaxie 352 auto and it was faster yet, but not as cool as the 63 fairlane. Awesome job. It's good to see these old cars back on the road.

Loved this eppisode. Good to see an old classic back on the road again. Just one thing to keep in mind tho with the old cars, when doing brakes, never blow out the dust with compressed air as the dust, depending on the lining material, may or more than likely contains asbestos which can be pretty bad for your health if breathed in. Just something to keep in mind for next time.

Excellent job. Beautiful car. One thing that i really want to advise you is not to blow out old car’s brakes with compressed air because you may have ASBESTOS in old dust. Asbestos was used by 1982 in car brakes. Use brake cleaner but I suggest you washing them with warm water and detergent that would remove asbestos particles and prevent asbestos from getting airborne. Afterwords you can use air if you like.

P.S. if you go back and watch yourself trying to extract that water pump bolt, you'll notice you were turning it in the wrong direction from the backside of the mounting surface.
