The ethos pro has bi directional capabilities. It does every thing the big scan tool does except scope and Kwick fix

I have never used an Ethos Pro before so not really sure what they can do, but I do know they cost around $2300.00 brand new. Lately, for me I have been using a lot of Autel scanners, and I really like them. I recently bought a lower end $600.00 brand new Autel Maxidas DS708, I actually bought it from Harbor Freight online with a coupon, and all I can tell you is that it does so much more than my $1600.00 Snap-on Ethos+. However, dont get me wrong I do use Snap-on scanners, and I do like them very much. On the higher end Snap-on scanners it is nice to have the scope, kwick fix, and component tester features. Having that stuff is super handy for sure. Well thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Have a good day.

The ethos and ethos+ don't have any bi directional controls.
The Ethos tech does. I'm not sure if you could sweet talk your snap on tool truck guy too maybe put the the ethos tech software onto your unit. You won't be able to via shopstream privately thats for sure.
I have an Ethos tech and was contemplating doing some videos with it. There doesn't seem to be many for these lower end scan tools.

I am still learning to use the snap on ethos+ scan tool. However from what I can tell so far is that it really does not do anything that my Autel MD802 all systems wont do. However, I do prefer my snap on Ethos over my Autel because it has a much bigger screen and it is super easy to navigate the PIDS. However considering the price difference between the 2, Autel cost around 200 and the Ethos+ was around 1500 (I got my scan tool free from college sponsors, and a snap on toolbox because I graduated top of my automotive college program, I beat out everybody in all of the college automotive programs) So my Ethos+ was an award, I got it for free, and I do really like it. However I do wish it had bi directional controls. I will have to look into getting ethos tech software installed in it, I am not sure how to go about that, but that would be cool to have bi directional controls for sure. Well Hey if you post a video using your Ethos tech send me the link cause I would like to see what it can do, and you are correct there are not a lot of videos showing the lower end snap on scan tools. Well anyway thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Have a good day.

The ethos pro absolutely does have bidirectional controls you can actuate things like EGR valve windows wipers horn Fuel pump relay etc also do and inj balance test cylinder injector kill test, all kinds of fun goodies it is an excellent scan tool for the price that's pretty much all the other ones can do besides lab scope

I think it is a nice tool to have, but I agree for the price they cost you can get a scan tool that will do much more functions for less money. Well thanks for the comment and have a good day.
