The big Police Station at B6 is semi lootable. (it's surrounded by cement walls). Very easy access and only zombies inside. There's also a 1 room police building somewhere that was great. Lots of guns in trunks though too
In these areas that are too grindy to clear I like making a platform protected by spikes. Make it next to the fence with a scaffolding ladder on the other side so that you can jump to the other side of the fence if the zombies break through. It's particularly worth doing with loot respawn on areas you'll be returning to often. Add a bedroll, a workbench and a couple of drop chests and you are all set.
I have really enjoyed playing Scum. Its moved to the top of my current list of favorites. The challenge of starting with nothing and having to survive and scrounge is the best part. I avoid multiplayer for the same reason you mentioned. Selling cars, car parts, etc. and the safe zone traders make it worth it. A simple thing that really impressed me was when I finally got my first car and needed to add tires. I used the jack and set the car up. I put the front right tire on but could not figure out how to add the left back tire. Finally realized that I had to move the jack to the other side of the car. A lot of little details like that. I am a fan of no one survived but now that I have been playing Scum, this game seems bland and empty.
Yeah I saw the update and noticed the chance to loose skills on death. I like that they are trying to make dying a little harder on you (before you could just let yourself die somewhere close to your base to cheaply refill all your hunger/health stats with no downside). So I like the idea of dying being more negative for you. I also think it will be a good reason to keep a set of books handy 😊. For the map it would be nice if eventually we can interact with stuff like wrecked cars and baracades on the road to move them, and maybe be able to fix the bridges or even make our own. Id even go so far as to want to make our own road systems
I vote for you playing SCUM. I've started playing again this year and there has been many changes since it's release. I currently watch 2 other people who play scum. As far as the crashes, I've never had a problem.

My biggest gripe with SCUM is the puppet walls. When you travel (no matter where your going), walls of puppets will spawn in front of you stretching far to left and right. I don't mind spawns but this mechanic just gets old quick.
When is the last time you've played it? I haven't for about 7 months, so I'm curious if this is still an issue. Hope not, cause that game has so much potential. Liked it since the start but can only play for so long.
I sarted this game two days ago i have found a bunch of guns,,food, water ect. Be sure to chek the motel if you find it i found a dosen back packs too. If you wanna break doors try to find a crowbar. I found 4-5 in the farms and a dosen of knifes hammers and i could go on
I think the no stamina when fighting has to do with the constant backing up and spamming the attack button cause you def miss like half of the melee attempts.. another thing to help with that would be the adrenaline
After watching the videos I have so far I'm glad I started my new save on the old map. I'm getting good loot now. I have pretty much everything I want to build built. Not going to build the control center so I'm not going to the bandit camps on this save.
They have updated Scum massively i have 2500+ hours in it and i love it. i personally dont remember ever having a crash but i dont overclock anything so maybe thats something, and as far as all of the food stats it is less important then it seems i rarely look at more than the basics. Also unless you like pvp id stay on less populated servers, pve, or un-official pve with pvp areas.
I get what you mean regarging scum, I played a while back before they added the plane you can put guns on, as for the food I felt the same but all i did was live near water, the sea or river, and made sure i had a high loot area for food, once I gt the hang of it I had no problems at all, it's a fun game once you get into it, base bulding was meh but you can take over prefab buildings I did not do that, the bunkers are crazy you need to be well armed and I would decativate the mechs if you can i know you can in multi player, but single not too sure , with that said youneed to take it slow and learn how the food works after that you should be all good.
For what it's worth, I ran into some vending machines that WERE lootable. The loot is still pretty sparse on the ground, the supermarket didn't give me much, most of the shelves were bare. When you left your camp, you passed a farm on the left side, with a busted bridge opposite. The houses appear to be loaded with medical supplies. I made out like a bandit there. I ended up building my base just to the West, where I can see the barns and homes through the trees. Seemed to be pretty central. I guess tonight I'll go see about getting a car.
Zombies' ragdoll in this game reminds me of oldschool carmageddon games and not in a good sense. Kage, how about a new season of 7dtd? i believe you haven't tested the intelligence tree with stun baton yet, it's insanely good. And they also added permadeath setting and a couple of new pois, would be nice for a new season challenge
The loot is a big issue on this map the map is way bigger yet only has 15 percent loot as the old map I tested pois and I belive that was the wrong police station the good police station is on the map too and has great loot
i find the front so much beter than scum, play scum alone is boring, and play online is suicide.................the front have all a game needed, survival, tower defence, base building, a horde (you can call wen you want, and a big map full of enemys, and upgrade feels endless, if you survive for 1000 years, from stone tools to modern war, and you can play on your own speed and concentrate on what you want withouw be forced, ....................... scum is for to hard , you have nothing on airdrops because all is closed, and you must be able to lockpics, so there is no way to have fast enough to survive, even is front is hard too , it feels beter because you can figure out in wat order you need unlock stuff to get a good defence with traps and so, thats what scum missed, ... you can make it very diffifult for players to reach your door, so if you loot somewhere there is more change you can kill a weaken enemy with lesser defence already wounded, (special if you hide you torrents, can give illussion of weak defence untill there reach your death room full of turrents, that kill you dirrect and make it me easy to loot your death body, and you need strong armor just to get your loot back ,
Never had any problems with SCUM crashing but it's been a long time since I played. It can be brutal but since I play PvE in these games I just ran out of content. They have added a lot since then though.
If you enjoy this game, Scum feels like a slightly more polished version of this game. Every time I forget you aren't playing Scum, the janky combat reminds me 😂 Enjoying the playthrough!
If you do try SCUM Solo/Single player ... I would suggest cranking up the loot/container & vehicle(# & working) spawns all the way up and start with ... Attributes: STR - 4.5 (Advanced Archery, Medium Melee) CON - 1 (Basic Running & Endurance) DEX - 3 (Advanced Thievery) INT - 3.5 (Advanced Medical, Basic Survival) If you have the deluxe (or whatever it's called) I would also suggest starting with Danny Trejo character. The game may be a little more enjoyable solo with the Mechs disabled,, but I enjoy having to sneak by them until I can get some major firepower. Side Note: I have never had the game crash on me, but if I host the server locally I do get some lag spikes. If possible I would suggest creating a server on another machine or a hosting service. (FYI - local server server settings are available in the Esc menu AFTER you land) (These are just my opinions)
Do you think the carry hack to carry heavy/big items, is cheating? Cause I see you leaving things behind and it hurts my hoard-y heart 😂 #NoLootLeftBehind
i've never had crashing issues with scum that is pretty weird... you prob just need to reduce some of your visual settings as I believe they are default to high on all of them.
been playing this game a lot, and man the days go to fast i would like to slow it down, with fast days means more food my dude eats a Deer a day, or a 500 boar a day, its nuts. On the SCUM topic, its for me this game is like SCUM/7D2D hybred, Scums cool but meh you have no real objective once to make a base, bunkers for what guns ? you already got guns etc.
S.C.U.M. is not worth playing.....Way to hard..Have to worry way too much about Health stats...It's like playing DayZ on STEROIDS!!! Map is way too BIG to play
It can be challenging. I've got my character to around 84kg. I've also spent a lot of time eating right and exercising to get to 71% muscle and 9% fat. I also started at 3 1 3 5. Now I'm 4.1 5 5 5.
Scum is the hardest survival game that i've played. It's an awesome game that needs dedicated gameplay. Alot of hours leveling up your stats and you need to study the game before you start. It's really hard to understand the metabolism mech and how to increase your stats fast. After so many updates i strongly believe that Scum now is the best survival game. I'm older than 50yo, played alot of diff games and i deffo vote for SCUM. But as i said.. you need to watch some videos how to play clever and not waste your time doing worthless things.

mizer's house ain't that bad with coffee, 'sides she is having trouble getting coffee in her play through in this game

The light was fully charged but to recharge one, put it in your inventory and then it takes 2 batteries to fully recharge.

The way the game has you step on the brakes, you are going to need to brake pads and tires quickly
Your character desperately needs to learn subtle application of brakes instead of slamming on them each time you tap the brakes :D

The scum issue could be your fps. Adjust to lower fps and should work fine. When I first started scum that was my problem.
