wow! I've had 4 flare ups now with severe bleeding and blood transfustions and iron iv therapy. I had so many questions and usually the response is just eat more fiber! This is a great eye opener and answers many questions and I feel that I can better discuss this with my doctors. I'm 62 and do not want to get a colospomy bag! Thank you
You are a legend buddy, I recently had an MRI scan to monitor my low level prostate cancer and at the end of the report a note was added that diverticular disease (I think that was how it was worded) was present. That was it, no other explanation. I have Googled it but the issue has been at the back of my mind, I'm feeling uncomfortable not knowing if this is some form of other type of cancer. I have no known symptoms btw. I watched your video right through, its fascinating and my mind is completely at rest. Mine I believe is due to age (over 60) and my high fiber diet is probably the reason that I have no symptoms. Thankyou for making this video. I can sleep better now.
This video is bloody good information , so please take note , I personally was diagnosed with Divericular last year , I then was diagnosed with Diverticoloses , and Diverticulites in April 20/24 , after I had an infection . So what I did I changed my Diet , I now only eat fish , potatoes , carrots, broccoli, and green beans . I have an Apple first thing in the morning , and I have a chicken breast sandwich with brown bread last thing at night , it’s now just over 4 months and I haven’t had anymore infections or flare ups , so I recommend a high fibre diet . I have lost two stone , and I feel much more healthier , and everyone tells me I look really good . But for me I now I look really good , I can move a lot quicker , and I don’t have pain in my stomach or cramps anymore . So i used to be a couch potatoe , but now I’m always moving about , because I believe sitting down for more than a couple of hours causes pressure in your bowel and this brings on your diverticulitis.
Best explanation I ever had. I been through heavy bleeding three times in last four years and have to take blood infusion and iron too. I almost callapse . Hats off to you my friend. God bless you.
Best thing I did for mine was eliminate fibre. I have avoided surgery for 2 years now. Carnivore diet has saved me all the pain, and I also feel souch fitter and healthier than I've ever been in my life.
it would be useful if you could provide more context e.g. herniations occur in focal areas of weakness, where bloodvesseles supply the bowel wall. other than that, great vid
