God's work is to make sure that the majority gets what they want by bitching and whining? Cause legit, doing this kind of crap wouldn't work in XX or XRD. The consistency in that game is far, far, far, far, far less likely. You had to make your decision then and there and if it didn't work, guess what? Training mode wasn't going to help you.
ive been trying to get consistent at this ever since I saw Omito post this tech, but I cant consistently get dash kara deal to come out after the otg c.S, I think theres just a super specific timing to it, too early and you just cancel c.S into deal without the dash, and too late you just get a dash cancel without a deal
I want to add you dont need to do low finer for the low part of the c.s mixup, 2s also works, which can allow you to build more risc, and if you have no card and only 50 meter, force yourself back in for another 50/50 with wild assault.
I dont play any other characters in this game, so seeing a pressure guide for one helps me to get an idea for what to expect once i start fighting some Johnny's. Thanks for this!

You can also RRC 236HH for 50/50s similar to Bandit Revolver RRC mix. From what i can tell, the card comes out as long as the first hitbox comes out, so you don't have to wait to even see the card
One thing I found with mist cancel is canceling the first hit of 2H on block. It leaves you in range for a c.S which allows you to loop pressure and is fast enough to force the opponent to guess with a mash which can be baited with ensenga or something. I know it’s minus but I’m not sure to the extent since I don’t know the attack level for the first hit of 2H. Good video combined with your 10 starter combos is a great way to get your foot in the door with Johnny.
Very interesting idea. I was playing around with this myself, one thing I noticed that its utility is much weaker against Faultless Defense, but I think there's still a lot of potential.
FD seems pretty useful against Johnny in general if you don't immediately 50/50 them but if that happens perhaps it'll push you far enough to safely use deal? Idk I'm still trying things out on offense. good point tho@@uero-ro
3:15 just be careful trying to dash up c.S, it's just perfectly beaten by 3F buttons so if you're fighting Chipp or Sol you have more to worry about than DP
Thanks man, i've been doing like a 65% of these but prefer to end pressure (if they block) with ensenga, cuz using S-mist finer that close leaves to a punish and if they have meter they cant invert that to wall break, so Ensenga at the end or K-Mist finer with backwards dash

One thing i wanted to add is that mistfiner is VERY minus on block, I believe its -15. So unless you hit a card with it or are far enough away its better to end a blockstring with ensenga or another safer move.

1:47 how are you able to land vault on block? Cause every single time when I do the block string with C.S,F.S, and 5HS into vault, I always end up hitting the opponent out of block stun. I have dumb set to "Guard Only First Hit" which is what presume the dumby is set to in this demonstration here. Like, am I doing it too fast or slow?

I use hitbox, thing that helps is to remember not to get too ahead of myself. After cs, make sure to jump first then do the special instead of trying to do the jump special motion all at once
Right, that's what I'm trying to figure out. It's like I can do it back to back pretty consistently, but once I want to add a RC in I just can't do it. I either mess up on the jump or the over head input.💀

Question about the deal and mistfiner away - I was testing it training mode and seems you are unable to beat 9f reversals (I kept trading with sol svv). Did you find the same thing? It’s still a powerful option but I think you need to be more mindful of the consequences
I've been training the instant overhead and I can't seem to make it consistent. I'm playing on keyboard which might make it different but even when it seems to be the exact same input of 21478S, sometimes without 7, judging by the input history on the left, I didn't seem to find a difference, sometimes I just jump and slash, and sometimes I do the instant overhead and sometimes I do standing low. Does anyone know what makes the difference or how to get more consistent?
What happened to this series? It use to be so interesting. Why the hell does everything I like have to become this crap or cease to have any future? I mean, I'm looking at this and I'm not impressed. I liked when every character had the potential to try a bunch of unique stuff. When the game let you just do things on the spot rather than be consistent and repetitive. Now, it's just a lot of characters doing the same thing off of a roman cancel and then using their moves 100% as they're "suppose to" while announcers hype up this crapstain of a game with shiny graphics.

Couldn't you also just end the block string with a mist finer backdash? I feel like that would work out pretty fine.

I believe neutral or forward jump overhead should put you close enough or you can do 5k 6h

Its long range deal followed up with Kick mist finer hitting after a dash its a good way of poking from afar?

Hey bro set it to stance block all crouching only if you want to practice the overhead and vice versa for the low.

Its easier for me to do forward jump instant overhead for some reason its def not easy i still drop it a lot

What version of deal do you use for your high low setups
I havent played Johnny a while but i believe it was the close one definitely in the corner. Ive seen setups that used the mid and far ones though
