You should plug another power supply with OBD Power cable or directly on terminals (with extreme caution) to preserve computer memory and all calibrations in it!
Thanks for this. When you disconnect the battery, you would lost of the electronics setting of your car? I saw my Machanic connected the terminals + and - to a pack, battery to keep the setting. Or it doesn’t matter.
The memory minder is not essential - mechanics will sometimes use them to make life easier when disconnecting the battery as it will often clear the memory of security codes, reset clock time, radio presets etc 😊
If you have a high-end head unit you might have a problem, because some units have anti-theft mechanisms and you may need some sort of security code or even a CD to get it working again.
Aamir Iqbal that sounds stupid you fucking knob. If you have to watch a video to figure out how to undo two bolts.. you are obviously not mechanically minded.

Okay I don’t need mechanics to do this for me then, well explained thanks

I’ve got a battery jump starter pack - should I connect it to the + - cables to maintain the voltage before removing and replacing the battery?
if you could just do this on my car that would be amazing
Lol

Because your battery is flat ?
Love your stuff M10 but this is NOT how to change a battery

If you need to watch an instructional video to change a car battery, you probably shouldn’t be changing a car battery....
Wtf is that stupid logic, it's how people learn things they don't know how to do?
Why not
