You can line any garment. Higher quality garments are lined. In general, a sheer fabric should be lined. If you don’t want to have facings, then the garment is lined. Sometimes things have to be double lined (i.e. white swimwear). It depends on fabric, cost, garment, and designer. Hope this helps.

My scrunchies wall - I use shoe organizers - plastic sides and caps that lock in - I got a 24 slot one for like $35USD - we are totally dependent on Amazon here so I got it from there. That’s where I have my little shop too. I totally have your fabric love - I think you’re the only one on utube that comes close 🥰🥰 - just too many pretties out there 😍
An Idea for the storage in the scrunchie wall Taylah could be (I dont know the correct name) Garage storage containers that hold screws etc, I know they can be small but if you can get different sizes it could be a great way to start to keep stock, as well as get the items in and out of the units. I hope you are feeling better soon

For clothing you can use a facing or lining, but it depends on the style/design and weight of fabric. I suggest starting with woven and not knit fabric. Rayon challis would probably use a facing. I encourage you to pick up a vintage pattern from an op shop to start. Use your body measurements and not your ready-to-wear size. That's true for almost all commercial patterns. Start with designs that are simple. For any rounded edges on pieces you should 'stay stitch' which means run a line of stitching inside the seam allowance (usually 5/8" or approx 1.5 cm). This prevents your fabric from stretching on the bias. Also, pay attention to the grain lines! Good luck, it's a rabbit hole (but fun) with the garment sewing hobby!

People are judgy when you say you make scrunchies or headbands! I don't even buy much at all but they seem soooo unimpressed when I say headbands and scrunchies.

I make my own clothes. I make mostly dresses and tops. I also use a lot of knits. Knits are so much easier to work with.
