Thank you so much for this! I'm trying to find natural acquisition learning materials for Japnese and this is exactly what I need! When do you think it is good to start learning hiragana and katakana?
I would say right now! Especially for hiragana, but the faster you can start to read, the faster you practice not only hiragana, but also pronunciation (it’s said that ‘romaji’ english style spellings result in different pronunciation), reading practice, and new words. I recommend Dr. Moku’s apps, and ‘Japanese!’ Both are mostly paid content, but they’ve been my favorite. I also recommend Anki for learning new words/practicing hiragana/katakana/kanji.
Konnichiwa, Asami-san, I am really learning a lot from your videos, and I really believe your videos are a great start for me to improve my Japanese listening comprehension via immersion!
