    Absolutely excellent Tutorial on Navigraph.. I have had Navigraph for a week and was going to give it up, as I thought it was frustrating to do a flight plan on it...After seeing this video you have made it come alive and I look forward to doing a flight plan as you have shown.. You have a great voice and ability to train I am hooked on your site....I do intend to watch your videos on Vatsim. I am trying to learn that, and I am sure your videos will equally be so helpful in training me on jumping into Vatsim flight ...Thank you so much.

    Thanks for a great vid. I'm off now to try to replicate your flight plan. Been flying vfr for a while now and wanting to learn IFR and eventually use vatsim. Taxiing and getting lost whilst on vatsim has put me off, I will be frequenting myself with popular VATSIM airports and less complicated ones such as EGHP EGCC to begin with. The taxi chart is really good. 👍👍👍

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Karl. Thanks! Yeah, Vatsim can be a real challenge when you're just starting out. As a tip, you should fly VFR on vatsim. Pick an airport like EGCC (UK Manchester) and just do traffic patterns to start with, then fly from there to a nearby airport. See my 3 part Vatsim series on the channel which''ll take you through the initial steps. Once your confidence builds up then move onto IFR. Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment and for watching! ~Rm😀

    Thanks for the great tutorial. I just installed Navigraph and you saved me hours of frustration on the learning curve. A small suggestion -- you could have demonstrated the approach plates. As good as Navigraph is, I was disappointed that there are no VFR charts, only a poor non-aviation world map that, as you have pointed out, cannot be zoomed in much. Sometimes we don't want to fly "hard" IFR and only want to go on a scenic pleasure flight.

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Great to hear it was useful. Including an Approach plates tutorial would have made video too long. It's strange you mentioned Navidgraph's lack of VFR capabilities as I spent a few hours today trying to work on the next video which will be VFR flying on Vatsim. Navigraph is just useless for this. They could have thought more about VFR users and incorporated airsp;ace diagrams over the world map and VRPs as well - esp as it is paid-for software. As a tip you can download FSPM VFR MAP from flightsim.to. It's an in-game panel. It's better than the in-built VFR map. Thanks for your comment and for watching! ~Rm 😀

    Thx for this.Thinking of getting Navigraph but I use the free Littlenavmap which has the capability to zoom right in on the airports and cities.

      HI. Had a litle tinker with Littlenavmap a few times in the past and never really got into it. It's defo a good software but doesn't come with Jeppeson charts and FMS data as does Navigraph. Thanks for watching! ~Rm 😉

    hi there navisim, just watched this video and was amazedf at how simple you came across in teaching and not once it went over my head like some do on youtube, im a new comer to learning flight plans even though i enjoy just flying in vfr and seeing the sights, I thought it be great to learn ifr too, i only fly smaller planes and not the big 747s and alike, i assume i can still use Navi graph for say a Kodiak 100 or cassena 172 tbm900/30

    Airline CAO is Airline Commercial Airline Overlay where the charts are optimized for cat C/D aircraft. So if you fly airliners in the sim this should be the preferred choice in Navigraph.

      HI. Glad you enjoyed it! Re: Exporting of flight plans, its as easy as abc. Just click on "Export flightplan" button in the "Flights" tab then save the .pln file to a folder of your choice, load the sim, and import it from there. Thanks for watching! ~Rm😉

    Great video. Now I know how to create a flight plan, but you didn't tell me how to get it into MSFS 2020.

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Please bear in mind the recording date of the video. Way back in Feb 21, Navigraph had no visible facility to export created flight plans into MSFS 2020. If you go to 5:11 in the video you will see what this screen use to look like. Now, however, on the same screen in your updated Navigraph you will see on top " + New flight", then below you will see 3 green boxes, one of which says EXPORT. Just click on this and it'll now present you with a list of sims you can export to with the top option being MSFS 2020. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! ~Rm😉

    At 30:04 there a mistake I think. You should pay attention to the arrow direction on the leg between TLA and INREV. This airways N601 is going from south to north within one direction only... I'm not sure this is the correct way to use airways with Navigraph. Or let say it's not as correct as it should be in real world.

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. I did take a look back at 30:04. I don't quite see your point but thanks for expressing your opinion anyway. Please remember that the video is not about how to read the Navigraph flight chart but how to use Navigraph itself. Thanks for watching! ~Rm😀

  • @GLYNCURTIS
    @GLYNCURTIS 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What Navigraph could or really should do is at least make sure they have all the airports that All the sims have. The first four flights I did using Navigraph either the departure or destination airpots were not there? Get the data together guys! no point in having a PAID application that only does half the job! my only gripe but the rest is really great.

    The rapid jerky zooming/panning during your videos is very off-putting, no offense. It's something many videographers seem to fail to recognize. If you look at how Hollywood films cinematically, you will notice slow and gentle pans and zooms for the most part. Why? Rapid and jerky motion can cause viewers to become distracted and in some cases, even motion sickness can result. FYI. Possibly you may consider this moving forward in future endeavors. Hope it helps you.

      Hi There, The thing to remember is that the far majority of productions on TH-cam are non-profesional, non Hollywood. Take ‘jump cuts’ for eg. We accept them on TH-cam but they would never make the grade for national TV. But these same ‘unprofessional’ productions (with jerky video movements etc) on TH-cam has millones of views and 1000s of likes and subs. The TH-cam audience are a very forgiving bunch and appreciate that you, while trying your best, will in time will improve. Having said the above, thanks for your suggestions and comments, I’ll take them on board as a way to improve. ~Rm 😊
