It depends on your definition of affordable, unfortunately they’re a very expensive art form. You can find them for really good prices at kimbrydolls on Etsy, specifically kimbry because you can’t find as many legitimate sellers there. They’re still several hundred dollars, but compared to the usually $2000-$5,000, they’re far more budget friendly.❤️

Thank you so much, I am very chaotic and there is never a dull moment😭🤣 I am careful but just I guess not the way some other people may be lol! Yes, it is a little square of Saran Wrap I folded to make it thicker and I put it under his hair whenever he is laying down. You can also use satin lined baby bonnets and those are also great!!❤️❤️❤️
I want a silicone baby SO BAD!! The problem is.. TOO EXPENSIVE 😭
The price point is definitely up there! Fortunately, I’ve been able to get silicones in trade for my reborn dolls in the past! They can take quite a bit of saving up for, I know it can be intimidating but there are lots out there if you know where to look!❤️ I recommend reborns.com to start

No,,I would not either,,it does not look good at all. My baby would be screaming.
I would never handle a reborn baby like that,they instructions says to treat it like a new born.
I have been a reborn artist for 10 years, I have done silicone work and I can assure you I was not being rough with this doll. He is in the same pristine condition he was in when I got him. They don’t have bones like a real baby, they’re going to flop around more than an actual baby would.
Unfortunately I've had a silicone get ripped because someone handled like a rag doll and stuck their finger in its mouth ripping it's lip a bit. I'd be careful for rips with silicones. @@dollsandkoe

Yes, it’s just easier than having to stand there and take 20 minutes explaining the differences between silicone and vinyl, and why I only make vinyl. Most people who don’t know anything about them don’t really care about that, so I just tell them I make ‘them’, ‘them’ being hyperrealistic dolls. Then I say there are two kinds and I only make the other kind.

Silicone dolls you have to find an artist and or sculptor. They are NOT mass produced. They are one of a kind

That’s something people are always surprised to discover when they find reborns, even if the doll is the same kit made by the same artist, no two are ever 100% alike!! That’s the beauty of this art though, something the places selling knock offs are ruining, unfortunately 😭

I do wish people understood a little more about how you don’t just have a website you go to that has the exact dolls you show. Yes, we have websites but it’s still a particular sculpt by a particular artist. Gotta find the sculpt first!

The satin squares are also perfect!! Saran Wrap is great but I personally think the satin squares are probably best, I just don’t have any haha!!

Could someone explain why people have these realistic babies? I find them remarkable how they are made so lifelike and could see collecting them but not actually interacting with them as if they are real.
For me and the majority of other collectors, we just enjoy the art. The realism, the baby clothes, all the fun little baby things. Just as with any other hobby, simply put, it brings me joy! It’s also my livelihood, I make and sell these dolls and it pays the bills. Most do not interact with them as if they are real, but for those that do, as long as they are fully aware they are just dolls, there isn’t any harm. As for my page, if you see me interacting as if they’re real, it is solely for entertainment purposes. I make money off of TH-cam, and those videos tend to make the most money. Just part of the business for me haha! I hope this helps, I am always happy to answer questions!🥰

I’m curious why people do these “reaction videos”…or want reactions? I just want someone to explain? Like you’re doing it FOR reactions and not authentic getting out.
Those videos do the best, TH-cam is my full time job so sometimes I make content that I don’t necessarily LOVE, but that does well. Not always, I always want my heart to be in it, but sometimes I just have to go where the money is. Just feeding the algorithm monster lol! I still enjoy them, and I do love talking about the dolls to people which is another reason the reactions are so fun!🥰

Unfortunately it is the ground or my double chin lol, I think being able to look at what I’m looking at makes it more fun! And the ceiling clips are out of respect for peoples’ privacy, I don’t want to walk around shoving a camera in anyone’s face for views. Just trying to be respectful!🙂
