18:48 - Oh my god, Irina Makeeva returning to the sport would be so cool. She left because she was so dang dominant, and achieved everything, and had other goals that she wanted to put her attention to. She also had accumulated various injuries as usual. But also a big one was that armwrestling was being so divided up. But now there's a new champion who looks unbeatable, and Engin brought armwrestling back together. Everyone can armwrestle each other. I think she would probably be really happy about that.

@@sunderark - Hell yea. It's crazy because her primary concerns with the sport is now a thing of the past (at least for now).
Though I should mention there is still pretty much just one organisation that is a problem, and Engin doesn't want to make them angry and have them retaliate, so there's some athletes who are getting screwed over.

Which she literally is in a league of her own division wise, too. The others could all fight between each other in like, a 90kg category, Gabi is 95kg, Egle is 85kg, Sarah is 80kg.

Hard for me to get excited about this due to the weight difference. I realize that Barbora would have nobody to armwrestle because of her size but it hurts the sport in my opinion. Egle is the best in the world at her relative weight by a longshot. Same issue with Devon and Levan. 120 weight difference. These are not the same size humans. Same thing with Gabby Garcia in Jiu Jitsu. I don't have any easy solution for this but people need to keep in mind that weight classes matter when analyzing who is the best.
You want a Devon category? Nobody ever talked about the size difference between John Brzenk and Clive Dean. You know why? Because of the word open. What means for all weights. What do you want no Kurdecha, Opana etc? They have to lose weight for the Devon category? Strange thinking open weight classes are as old as the road to Rome. The best is the strongest and that's Levant we ain't talking participation prize here.
