- Wednesday 05 June 2013. A very early start at Acton Bridge Station and a cracking selection of locos passing through. Plenty of AC Traction, a couple of light engine 57's due to a loco swap at Preston, 60010 heading south with loaded coal for Ratcliffe PS, a pair of Class 37's on the empty flasks, 31190 heading north to collect locos from the ELR, 175006 giving it some beans heading ECS for Manchester Piccadilly, the usual awesome displays of power from the Class 70's, and a good turnout from the DB Schenker reds with 60010, 66001 and 90029 making an appearance.

Brilliant action Steve. What a selection. Liked the wobble that one light engine 665 gave. All the best...Tim.
Fantastic footage Steve once again. Nice to see plenty of 86's working again. Cheers for sharing mate.
Thanks mate, the sleeper was actually early as it passed me at 0516 and it's booked time is 0523. Just a nice bonus thanks to the early light as we head towards the longest day :)
Glad you enjoyed mate, thanks for watching... cheers, Steve.
Thanks for watching Ken, hope it's whetted your appetite for a possible visit whilst your down this way soon!? Cheers, Steve.
Thanks Bill, it was a great session and I was there a lot earlier than normal just taking advantage of the longer day at this time of year. I have a mate who is a fellow TH-camr & also works P/Way and I will give him a shout to take a look as that section has certainly seems to have got a lot worse. Cheers, Steve.
Excellent video collection from you early morning visit Steve.
Amazing stuff Steve, what a mix of Loco's, brilliant, I would call that Paradise at Acton Bridge, I think the P/way need to take a look at that bit just under the bridge, the Loco's certainly bounce around a little, thanks for sharing, it's a like, cheers...Bill
Thanks Tim, looks like that section of track promoting the wobble needs some attention. Cheers, Steve.
Excellent video, good variety of traction - you were up at crack of dawn to capture these workings! Back in 80/90s when I was spending all day at Crewe, I would move up to Acton Bridge for a couple of hours. Saw some great traction and workings then - all in rail blue, InterCity or Railfreight. Saw everything from doubleheaded 25s to 31, 40, 47 and most AC locos from 81 - 90s - plus the lovely whine of the 304s on the Crewe - Liverpool locals! Bliss! Thanks for all your hard work putting this and the others together and posting them - much appreciated.
+055deltic Thank you for your kind comments, and superb times you reference there with the diesel & AC traction loco hauled in the 80's and 90's. Sadly not too many of the locos you mention are still operating, it all seems very generic these days, certainly for passenger services. Cheers, Steve.
Many thanks Mike, cheers Steve.
Thanks for watching, was back there yesterday morning so will get that one uploaded soon. Cheers, Steve.
Thanks for watching mate, cheers Steve.
Thanks for watching, cheers Steve.
Excellent video there Steve, you have given me another spot to film train at this year :).
Ash.
Thanks Ash, yes I would definitely recommend a trip here. Cheers, Steve.
Thanks for watching, if there are more than five people waiting on a platform then it's a busy day here... usually there are more enthusiasts than passengers :)
Thanks for watching Steve, yes I am a big fan of the DBS red on the 90's too. The splash of paint is giving the fleet a new lease of life from the old EWS livery. Cheers, Steve.
A superb selection there Steve.
Superb video Steve and amazing variety of traffic - you've got me drooling mate! I never realised the Caley Beds loaded to 16 coaches on 1M16 with 90021. Some of the locos looked like they were on a bouncy castle and thought 66570 was going to jump off the tracks!! Liked the roar off 70018 and 31190, great selection of AC power and the tones! Engineer's trains seem such a waste for a 70 don't you think? Great "near miss" on the last clip! Thanks for a great show! Ken
Thanks very much, cheers Steve.
Thanks for watching Freddy, cheers Steve.
Fantastic footage mate! A lot of freight for early morning, keep it up :-)
Really good video Steve. One of your best.
Nice mix of traffic and a good selection of light engine moves.
Cheers Aidy
Thanks Aidy, probably my most favourite ACB session simply for the great conditions & pure variety that morning. Cheers, Steve.
Thanks mate, cheers Steve.
Some great stuff on here Steve and looks a good place to film.....Trevor.''
+Trevor Ledgeway Thanks Trevor, yes it's quite busy (by modern standards) and usually plenty of variety passing through. Cheers, Steve.
great Footage,nice Film,nice Sounds,nice Loco´s ! :)
very good !
Greetz Freddy
Yes mate, it was approx 5 hours early morning. Cheers, Steve.
Very lucky yes, also lucky I hadn't already panned around too as I didn't see or hear the Pendo!!!
Cheers Scott, most appreciated mate :)
Nice job, as usual. Well done ;)
Very nice rail video!:)
one word matey,,,BRILLIANT.
awesome video
Ooh, very very lucky in the last shot. To catch a 92 working was lucky enough, but to escape getting bowled that closely even more so.
Nice one of the best i have ever seen
Thank you, glad you enjoyed watching.
I would think that DBS have the extra loco for insurance in case the lead loco fails, but the timings of this working must be for a single loco hence the 92 being dragged DIT.
Heavens, it must be early, to catch the Sleeper coming through. I wonder why 90029 was dragging the 92 about back & forth.
Brilliant video. Is it that busy the whole day. Might pay the place a visit.
Thank you, it's not that busy all day but early mornings and evenings are probably the best times.
The first freight train was extremely long
Thanks m8
Wicked vid m8
Wicked vid m8 how are u
ECS move to Manchester Piccadilly.
Was that all in one day mate
We're was the 175 going
Manchester piccadilly from crewe but I think it going the wrong way
Good
Cracking vid, some cool stuff going through there, though am quite disturbed by the gap inbetween the yellow lines on the platform, where would every one fit if it was packed lol
Ahh rite I see, cool. Keep up the good work :D
Thanks for watching mate, cheers Steve.
