How long will the silicone cure particularly dragon skin platinum 10? After applying it to the mold. And how do u paint this because silicone is a tricky surface to paint on.

Is It like modeling clay? But the industrial one, that never hardens? Isn't It deformed by the weight of the plaster? Plz someone answer these questions, It could be very usefull for me. x'D And your work is really beautiful

chirou22hi1 It's called plasticine, the one I see used most often is Del Milano sulfur-free plasticine modeling clay. I haven't seen a mertailor use any other kind so I guess it supports itself.

Is there a particular reason why you do the coiling and then fill in the base? From what i've seen, most people make the base and then add the coiling.

I am confused of how you make the fluke. Do you put plaster in the box, put the clay fluke in, and then put more plaster on top?

I made a flat clay sculpt of my fluke and put on it plaster in the box, the clay was below the plaster. When the plaster mold was ready, I turned it and removed the clay, and the mold was ready to casting the silicone. I made two parts and glued them together with monofin between.

Jerwin B. Sampang Regular clay contains sulphur which cause that silicone don't cure, you must ude sulphur free clay

Same półprodukty kosztowały mnie ok 2500zł, z czego ponad połowę kosztuje silikon Dragon Skin, który nie jest niestety tani ale jest wart swojej ceny bo idealnie nadaje się do tworzenia syreniego ogona i próżno szukać innego silikonu o podobnych właściwościach (choć szukałam długo).

Najpierw naszkicowałam projekt na papierze, potem zaprojektowałam ją w programie graficznym żeby była idealnie symetryczna i wydrukowałam na zwykłym papierze w wersji 1:1
