TRANSFORMERS ONE is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. In the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie, TRANSFORMERS ONE features a star-studded voice cast, including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi with Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

I think this is a nice little family movie. Maybe getting a whole new generation of fans.
Seeing as how the transformers fan base is aging out, hasbro needs to capture a new generation to sell toys to. My little cousins want me to take them to see this so it’s definitely doing it’s job
5:09 I also expect the character designs of Transformers One to be more like the perfect G1 aesthetics of the last two live-action movies, not the kiddie-like Earthspark designs. It's this reason I'm a bit underwhelmed with the trailer so far especially with the fact that T1 is fully animated by ILM which also worked some of the live action TF movies.
This look both hilarious and pretty badass! Looking forward to it. EDIT: Should have watched your reaction before commenting. I'd still give it a watch. But then again, I don't have a pre-existing nostalgia with the franchise. I was already a grown-ass man when the series first ran. The movies, for the most part, were decent enough but go pretty samey over the subsequent releases. This looks like a fresh take, but time will tell.
For all those worried about the comedy, I heard that cinemark was shown a clip of the movie and they said it takes on more mature tones and themes, so this trailer is probably moreso marketing its adventure seeking comedy aspect for its kid demographic, think how kung fu panda has been marketed, all comedy and action, no mature themes of growth and existentialism lol
This is the one thing us GROWN ARSE FOLKS FORGET. This entire franchise started out as a Saturday morning cartoon for KIDS. That they’ve targeted that AGE RANGE for this interaction of the franchise and gave it a lighter tone is fine in my opinion. Everything can’t be about death and destruction.

Here's the thing, in the past, we've had awesome TF trailers and some movies turned out to be crap. So why couldn't the opposite be true here? A crappy trailer could turn out to be an excellent movie. They clearly made this trailer to appeal to a younger audience, but if you really look deeper into it, you'll see a whole lot of TF lore. Alot of folks are complaining about the voices. Younger less experienced bots will sound a bit different. We sounded different while growing into our adult selves, why can't they? Furthermore, this is more then just the beginning of the Autobot Decepticon wars, this goes further into the past then that. This is an origin story about the entire transformers race rising up against their oppressors (which I believe are the quintisons), its a revolutionary war they'll be fighting. And I'm betting toward the end of the movie, they'll be a divide in idealities between OP and Megs leading to them parting ways at the end. The Autobot/Decepticon war will not be the primary focus of the film. Don't let the kiddyness of this trailer fool you, or ruin your perception of how good the movie will be. I reserve my judgment for when the movie comes out.

I completely agree! Plenty of trailers can be misleading. Either way, i'm going to see this and who knows maybe my mind will be changed. This has happened with countless MCU titles etc. but PS you bring up a interesting point we brought up in put podcast this week. "Do Transformers actually age?" It was something we discussed for a bit. There has been examples of older Autobots and Decepticons in plenty of adaptations but curious if there are "Baby Transformers" out there 🤣🤣🤣 Only time will tell!

and honestly, I (not knowing) took my nephews to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen because it was billed as for families. It was not. There were scenes that bordered on soft porn and I was aghast. Haven't been back since, do not trust that previous director. I have hope from this trailer that this movie is something fans of all ages can enjoy together.
It truly got good and family friendly when we got Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts. I recommend those to all the folks that were turned off by those late (terrible) Michael Bay flicks.
Idk I think ur in a case of judging a book by its cover situation here. I think it’ll end up actually being good and they are just trying to get parents to take kids to the movies and when parents watch it and see how they handle the adult themes it’ll all be clear. Think how many movies ur parents took u too that they thought were just goofy kids movies until they walk out the theater crying with you lol
