I remember this one , I was on the first bar behind the Fratton end . It was our first tv appearance and a cruel end to the game with John Milkins injury - no subs then either . I'll never forget Peter Knowles kicking the ball over the roof of the Fratton end .
Fratton Park is a big favourite ground of mine living in Bolton it’s a shame it’s so far away I just hope they don’t spoil it too much with redevelopment
Mr. Smith, I was there too. in upper tier of Fratton end, level with goal. Those were the days. Rosettes and rattles. Kids sitting on the wall 'till the copper told them get off. Goalies who could throw the ball to the half ways line, and avoid the toilet roll missiles. End to end footie. No messing about. No beards, tats, or stupid haircuts (give or take Jenning's side quiff ). Some great players too, like Kellard, showing why we loved him. Radcliffe made a rare mistake in his brief career (leg broken by that scum Huxford).

No ...all work being done is very sympathetic and in keeping with an old style football ground.
