Still crying here, one year later. Yes, I'm an old fool. But i'm so thankful for what this song has brought me. 🧡
My mum, who passed away in july 2021, used to love his music but I could never relate to him or his art. I heard this song when it won Sanremo and didn't think much of it. Fast forward a few weeks, I am having breakfast in a cafe and this song comes on. All of a sudden it hit me like a truck loaded with bricks. It brought all kinds of powerful emotions to my heart, knowing she'd have loved this song and we'd have endlessly argued about it because it was not my taste. Somehow this song today is making feel her presence and I can't stop the tears. Thanks Marco. Mum, wherever you are I hope there is music and light.

That's the whole point of Eurovision.

This original version is simply amazing. Marco's performance is flawless and you can feel every syllable and every emotion in his words. I'm breathless every time I listen to this.
This performance at Eurovision would have landed Italy the victory and no one would have deserved it like Marco. Unfortunately they had to rearrange it to abide by Eurovision rules.
Marco Mengoni answered in an interview in Liverpool on the question: " What should people remember about you after the ESC? " After a moment of silence Marco answered with a smile: " To my eyes " Well, I think people in Europe were certainly impressed by your eyes as well Marco, but mostly by this beautiful, incredibly powerful song. As a Brit, I think Marco Mengoni is amazing. I don't understand all the words, but this song is simply of such a high aesthetics standard. I don't even listen to English pop songs, but I find Marco's wonderful. Beautiful voice and beautiful man. PS: I recommend listening to Marco sing Klama. Search it on youtube. Astonishing song sung at the Notte de la Taranta festival.
