Steven Adams - Super Skilled Center 17/18

- Steven Adams absolutely abuses people under the rim. NBA players are among a collection of the best athletes and some of the biggest guys in the world, but that doesn’t matter to Adams. He just discards dudes under the basket as he rips or swims through to rebounds. Statistically speaking, Adams tied with Enes Kanter in terms of leading the league in offensive rebounding percentage. He had a career year last year, posting a personal best numbers for points per game (13.9), rebounds (9.0), assists, steals, minutes, and field goal percentage. He’s a grossly underrated playmaker, his touch around the basket is totally underrated, and he is easily one of the toughest (but not fake tough) in the league. He’s not afraid to mix it up and get physical, but he never goes overboard.
According to an article by Zach Lowe (link below), the Thunder finished second only to Milwaukee (and their unreal length) in terms of allowing the fewest transition opportunities. Steven’s ability to grab offensive rebounds with sacrificing transition defense - by virtue of the sometimes single-handed (pun intended) ravaging of rebounds Adams so often does - allows everyone to get
back on D.
Anyway, I made this because Steven is one of my favourite guys to watch. Whether it’s his brutal screen setting or something clever that will totally go unnoticed, like how he is always talking to his guys (watch any of his Mic’d up clips) and is practically begging them to use his drag screens, or just breaking up “fights” where everyone is doing the whole “hold me back” but never actually doing anything, Steve is a must-watch.
These are just higlights from the 2017-18 season. If you want a collection of highlights from BEFORE that, here: • Steven Adams - Super S...

Amazes me how they don't run pick and roll everytime down the floor.
SrustinLim it feels unstoppable but only works when the floor is properly spaced (with the right personnel), otherwise defenses just jam up the paint and you end up with Russ taking those (probably well-contested) pull-up 3’s
Adams is my fav center he got the skills from 90's big men
In my opinion he is the most respectful and one of the most underrated players in the nba
how underrated is he. best screener in the nba too
For me Steven Adams is the star player in OKC, he's humble, and sportsmanship is in him, respect
I've been a fan of Adams since 2015 and he really doesn't dribble too much and he mainly focuses in his role.
idk if you'll see this evan but you are great at making these NBA videos!!!!! loving the hard work you put in getting each clips!!
0:34 This entire play is beautiful! 🔥🔥
Edit: Nevermind. It gets better. The back and forth between Westbrook and Adams from 0:34 through to 1:06 is too good 👏
He’s so underrated, in my opinion he’s is the best center in the game today bc he rarely gets injured and he will give you opportunity’s.
Hes a beast on the offensive boards
He deserves to be an all star.
His passing is underrated
Adams > capela
Aquaman is now the ocean master
Awesome video, great compitsioning, epic tribute to the Kiwi... 10/10 Evin
Feel like he is dunking down into ...the body reacts even dragged up a little by his own swings of a arm. What a man!
Steven Adams is The Aquaman that's why he's so good
Nobody can't fully box out this guy
I love watching Adams highlights
Most underrated center in the game. Old school style
I love it when he dunks on the whole team! Savage!
Coolest dudes you will ever meet, may or may not be the king of Atlantis. He has such an underrated game he can score in the paint with ease, interior D, passing, best screen and box outs i have seen. He is a traditional big that knows how to play big not these stretch bigs we keep seeing this guy could have been a weapon under pops coaching
Underrated Center of the NBA.. 🙁
But still ! 💪💪💪💪
9:19 that's a pass to himself
I've always like Steven Adam, he had a lot of potential to be one of the greatest player in the NBA. He was still young when KD was around and now KD's gone OKC needs him to step up his game. Keep doing what you do best Adam.. Miss KD😦
Honestly what more does he have to do to be an allstar most underrated centre
He's so underrated right now your typical center big strong and skilled
Has to be a all star this year surely.
Top 5 if not too 3 Center in the league.
Can you make a video of Adams breaking up fights
he doesnt fight
@@itskarl6066 hence "Breaking up fights"
Westbrook adams pick n roll was deadly hopefully he can do it with cp3
Adams to all star
Great video, awesome as always.
I missed that pick & roll from russ and aquaman 😭
Pretty good vert too
at least someone notices his talents
The title should be Steven Adams best dunks
I been waiting a long time for his highlights done by you. Thank you 👍🏽
I like him because his patience in both ends are ridiculous.
Legend.
Love the screen to alley pop with Westbrook that’s like their special move
That guy at 1:19 just said nope
1:42 is my favourite straight on top of Valentudas 😲 OMG!!! POOOSSS..STER!!! 🤣
I like him so much
holy shxt that five man offensive rebound
8:47 get up kid, let's go 😂😂😂
Way to go Aquaman!
The Russ Steven pick n roll was the best back then with harden capela pick n roll
'Child abuse!'
@hushboysports
Nicely compiled bro.
17-18
Best season
I swear I haven’t seen anybody who scores relentlessly even when trapped and double/triple teamed
My no1 center in the league 💪💪
Gentle Giant (:
Would be a star in another team. Westbrook doesn’t let him shine. All he does is dirty work but he’s so skilled and tenacious.
Da fuck are you talking about westbrook passes it to him most of the time. He is already shining, and still is like 25 yrs old. He migjt be a star if he is in the east tho
Adams said himself he doesn’t want to be the main guy dumb fuck. He literally says he enjoys doing the dirty work and the little things. He doesn’t care about being fed the ball.
He complements Russ well
1:36 this one is second to Pippen's dunk on Ewing on the hardness scale.
He should work with someone like shaq or hakeem imagine his power plus skills learned from hakeem and shaq
Aquaman for slammmmmma jammmmmmmaaaaa 🔥 🔥 🔥
And those fools (fans) want to trade him in OKC
They had me worried sick! Now looks like he's the Thunder player who's been here the longest. With my and my hubby's work schedule and daughter in college 90 miles from OKC, it's hard to get to a game but I told her we NEED to get to a game this season. We love our Kiwi!
He's brother is Aquaman
Aquaman!!
wow 6:46 😳
damn he's too agile and athletic for a 7ft
Drummond dunked after jumping from the foul line in college. Howard could dunk on 12 feet effortlessly. Wilt Chamberlain could grab objects off the top of the 12 & 1/2 foot high backboards. Shaq had one of the highest stand jump reaches in recorded history. Adam's isn't special in that regard, lol.
Miss the Westbrook/Adams duo. Both players are unselfish.
And they say if it wasn't for Westbrook, Adams aint nothing. Yet if it wasnt for Adams, Westbrook aint getting no easy triple double's aye? lol
I think they were right pels put him in shackles, and let him take a beating every night and russ is still making record 20-20-20's.
look at you westbrook haters looking stupid again lmao. he literally just came off a season averaging a triple-double without him
Okc is awesome team now...
There were many big tall centers but none as strong, agile and athletic as steven. Those alley oops are fast paced and totally not easy to pull, for any big tall guy.
Its like a taller and tougher version of kuroko basketball.....Daammnn
Imagine if he's not nice, brutal.
Definitely saves Westbrick a lot
The Aqua Man🤫😁😱
To be honest steven deserve 30m a year
wtf okc almost give up on rebounding when adam is on court they are always on 3 or far in the center
No idea what the fuck happened to us in the playoffs.
Man if he had a better post game with that touch around the rim and passing ability, he'd be one of the better centers in the league
He is..
@@Naitructus Not really when I think top centers in the league I don't think Steven Adams, he's good but not that good
@@anthonyjackson2987 Selvä..
@@anthonyjackson2987 Eventually he will be the best..
@@anthonyjackson2987 ur delusional lol
WHOA HOLD THE FUCK UP. DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT OUTLET PASS AT 0:24???
THAT'S GOTTA BE THE GREATEST OUTLET PASS OF ALL TIME. WITH AN ARM LIKE THAT HE SHOULD BE PLAYING QUARTERBACK. LIKE DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW HOW FUCKEN HARD IT IS TO THROW IT THAAATTT STRAIGHT AND LONG THAT QUICKLY???
Aquaman
The new batman y robin
do one for KAT
Aquaman😁
if adams only played for his national team they would beat australia in fiba asia. but idk wtf would they put both teams in asia. kiwi's and ausie's should instead be in euro basket not fiba asia theyre too much for asia 😂😂😂
Bruh am I the only one that thinks he can be a all star
Ofc hes aquaman
If u k kw how to twist ur body u can effectivly roll off his back
He can block shots too
Adams will break the backboard or rim one day. The whole shit moves everytime he dunks
It’s all raptors and jazz
Explosive Tongan Horsepower 💪 🐎 🐎 🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴 🇹🇴
No post up moves no lay ups no perimeter shot lollllll just straight up dunks.
Adams>aquaman
You can clearly see the chemistry between adam and westbrook. Its safe to say that westbrook, with those passes, makes adam better.
Sure. But i doubt Westbrook can pull the similar feat with other centers.
You call these skills?
Pelicans neutered him.
Fuck do a Clint capela defense
can you make KYRIE IRVING CATCHING FIRE moments please?????
CAN YOU MAKE KYRIE IRVING SCORING MACHINE PLEASE???
Way better than Kendrick Perkins
Wat Centre at 25 is better than adams
Anthony Davis starts at center this year, & I would argue Drummond & Gobert are very close if they're not better.
As well as Capella. They may not be better(I contend AD & Drummond are at the very least), but they're very competitive for the title.
"Westbrook doesn't pass"
90% coming from Westbrook’s passes
Same for Westbrook's points half of them are coming from Stevens screens. They both compliment each other
Yeah the German filling in for Russ is doing well but does not use this weapon.
Steve Adams is only good at imitating a brick wall m no athletic skill!!!!
