I have way too many drives and Hudson wins for me. I don’t think you mentioned but the pedal can run at 18-24v too and I found more gain range at 18 vs 9v. Great playing!
Germanium+Overdrive=Beautiful Just the way Germanium reacts both when used in a transistor and/or diode is a wonderfully dynamic tone. Thanks for sharing as I'd not heard about this Hudson Sidecar except for your mention of it.
You have such a unique style of playing in all these intros. A video of you explaining your inspirations and your guitar journey would be killer. All your gear you have is so strange in the coolest way. Keep it up
I would say in terms of overall musicality and musical thought process I draw mostly from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Robben Ford, Danny Gatton, and Hendrix. I like the melody of jazz but the grittiness of blues and rockabilly
Holy $hit Eric. The sound of that neck pickup at 9:03 was better than watching you sending 45 Ball rounds 200 yards downrange with that CZ with the pistol upside down! Just saying, that neck pickup had a wonderful squishy-gristle tone (to use a Greg Koch term).
Whoa…wait, you’re Iraqi Veteran 8888!!! Niiiiice! What other hobbies we got in common?! Hahahah. I JUST bought this pedal. Did a side by side with the broadcast. I found the Broadcast a bit bright.

I should’ve asked what it takes to melt this pedal. Hahahaha!!
How would you compare the Sidecar vs Black Mamba Tchula?
Wicked Tele with rails
