I'd be cool if one day this could be in the Olympics. This sport is really physically demanding and looks really cool and complex. Should be in more countries.
Thailand is the king of takraw, this sport belong to them, any double or triple, they rule this sport. and the the last one is amazing save n finishing the game.
look at the difference in the celebration. Myanmar players kept doing T pose with their arms out like is this your King? Thai players smiled them off. and when they got a point, just celebrated naturally without provoking. Class act.
Im pornchai fans from malaysia..For me..He the best striker in the world..also a lot remind me of bro zabidi (former best striker 4rom Malaysia sepak takraw)😁
In my Muay Thai gym we used ST Balls on a rubber band with a weight as moving target practice for punching. They really hurt when you punch them. Can only imagine how it feels if you get them bycicle-kicked in your face. Much appreciation for these two sports and the sportmanship expressed in this match!
I am from Myanmar but the way no.3 taunted the opponent after scoring a point is just straight up rude and disrespectful. At least have some respect for your opponent.

if you play this sport in American, like at a park, you have all the western people watching you play intriguingly and enthusiastically. The hardest sport they had ever try.
@@bennuballbags2 Aussies should get around this sport, we're in the region and aussie rules has a bit of high kicking and high jumping so surely there will be a few transferrable skills.
May I please have permission to use a short clip from this video for the purpose of Sepaktakraw promotion in the USA? Kindly awaiting your reply, Jeremy
You know, besides the amazing kicks that these guys do, another amazing aspect that most people don't know is when they are using their heads cause these ST balls are as hard as a rock. Takes a lot practice and a lot of KO's before you can get used to it. Trust me, I know, used to do it as a kid and the first few times I tried it, I tapped out like it was an MMA match.
As cool as it is, defending those smashes or whatever you want to call it seem impossible in this sport. If you're serving you're almost gonna lose the round it seems like.
This game is usually played in 3 vs 3 so defending those rolling kicks are not that impossible but it sure is super hard. I played the sport until highschool and I can't remember how many times I've broken my wrists both left and right and sometimes at the same time while trying to land safely.
Is this really a fault in the sport though? I think this is a goal that the players will have to develop a strategy to play against making the sport that much more competitive.
Yeah that is part of the game. You have to develop the skill and a plan on how to receive and control the ball. It's kind of like volleyball and passing in that since. Going along with what you said, the servers do lose the point a majority of the time, excluding aces. That is why the server changes every three points. To give the opposing team a chance to gain points. So with this being said, in order to win it is a good strategy to try to win almost all of your receiving points and then to win a few serving points as well. That way the point percentages are not equal or against you, but in turn in your favor.
The two Myanmar's players please remember that "The Thai players who laugh last, laugh best". And for you: "The players who laugh first, cry later". Ha! Ha! Ha!
i think it remains uniquely southeast asian, i don't think it's caught on globally just because if bigger (heavier?) players tried a lot of the demanding aerial techniques involved in this game, they would probably hurt their knees and dislocate their elbows coming down a lot more than these guys. it's still pretty awesome, i'd give it a more casual try for sure.
In Brazil, beach 'futvolei' is really popular, but the nets are higher, like volleyball, so it's nowhere near as spectacular as this. I hope it catches on eventually!
I'd like to see this in America. The first 5 seasons should be great. Numerous people getting kicked in the head, while numerous more look like idiots for whiffing on the ball.
I'd be cool if one day this could be in the Olympics. This sport is really physically demanding and looks really cool and complex. Should be in more countries.

Comeback is real, ketengilan pemain myanmar dibales sama ketenangan pemain thailand. Puas nontonnya💪🏻💪🏻
Used to watch this growing up...glad the sport is finally brought to light. My sister in law used to hate it when my brother’s out all day playing. 😂

Is this like volleyball but with your feet instead of hands? I’ve never heard of this sport, but it looks very interesting.

He was annoying the whole match. Glad he lost

Amazing ball dropping. Someone tried to faint you, but you kept in good spirit that's part of your skills.

This sports should be more popular than it is. It is just that no country is able to play it because of the amount of skill it demands.
