  • With 8 species pulled from Autauga Creek so far, it's time to add some more to the list and further the overall species assessment of my home creek.

The last time I fished Autauga creek was a hard day. Couldn't get much of anything to bite. The only exception to that was when I was working a topwater frog up above the mill. What I think was a bowfin hit that frog like it owed it money but I didn't get a good hookset and I ended up empty handed.

It is definitely not a "guaranteed catch" fishery. I've had way more awful days than good days in that creek. But it can put out some great fish and definitely contains a multitude of species.
