- Today we take on 4.6's Spiral Abyss! No Arlecchino gaming...but we might see the rest of the family? With characters like Raiden Shogun, Furina, Lyney, Lynette, Kokomi, and more, can we fully clear Spiral Abyss in this random teams challenge? Find out today!
Spiral Roulette is a challenge run we take on every patch! We roll eight characters off a wheel for each floor, keeping each team exactly as we rolled them. Then we remove them from the wheel so we don't dupe, and we beat Spiral Abyss with those random teams. Yup, it's really that simple!

Ningguang is..strange,to say the least. For her NAs,you have to NA 3 times before charge attacking (she doesn't use stamina if she has at least one normal attack jade stack) and for her burst you have to set up the Jade Screen,walk through the Jade Screen and then attack. If you use her burst without the Jade Screen,it's just over.
And for Lisa,you have to use her skill until there is a 3 on the enemy,and then hold skill to attack before the stacks on the enemy disappear.
This comes from a Ningguang Main and a Lisa enjoyer.
Not quite for Ning. You don't want to normal attack 3x, typically (AoE considerations with C1 can matter, of course). The charged attack drastically outdamages the normals, and a single extra Jade tacked onto the charged attack doesn't come remotely close to making up the difference, so all you are really interested in is the stamina free charged attack, which just requires having 1 jade. You want to normal 1 or 2x, then charge attack. As to why potentially 2 normals? Because latency and flight time means you might not have the jade before you charge attack with just 1 normal. But always use the least amount of normals you can get away with that lets you get the stamina free charged attack.
Another important aspect for her: particle generation cooldown exists, so if you E, burst, E, you will only get particles from one E. But if you E, burst, then do some stuff and E again 6s later, you will get particles for both. Something to keep in mind if energy is a consideration.

One thing I love about your abyss challenge videos compared to everyone else is that you don't complain and whine the minute you don't get a super meta or popular character, and you don't focus entirely on getting 3* each floor. You play for fun and because of that its also more fun to watch!
Lyney main here to shed some light on his kit, you build stacks by charged attacks they take health to do damage, you can stack it 5 times,(according to the talent guide but i usually stick to 2 or 3) then use the skill to heal it all back and do extra damage per stack. Using his burst also gains one stack, i would avoid using his skill without stacks bc it just makes you miss out on damage without stacks, his charged attacks wont drop his hp below 60%, and he wont gain stacks without it taking some hp. the stacks cost 20% of his hp. lyney also gains a pyro damage bonus for every pyro member of the team, up to 2 members not including himself, so your klee was passively buffing lyney! also his normal attacks go crazy for some reason.

Don't know if someone said it, but about the Ruin Hunter in Floor 11 chamber 3 2nd half, there's an explanation! If you go higher than the ground (by using for example Kazuha skill, climbing geo traveler's rock, Zhongli's pillar, etc..), the Ruin Hunter will fly up! so the tip is just to avoid thoses skills or to climb on stuffs! ;)

Ooof... that Floor 12 team was *rough* to watch. I brought my best teams and still wasn't able to get a single star so I felt you when you were suffering. The agony of your struggles... On floor 11 I think you could have swapped sides, the pyro and electro would be good aganist cryo shields and Fish could hit the flying ebnemies in second half

Chongyun and Xingto for freeze
You know you had some pretty good moments using Amber it felt like you were using an early game team to clear floor 12 and it was cool to watch 😊

i have respect for you continuing to use the randomized teams on floor 12. if it’s anything useful, amber c6 does apply a 16% movement speed and atk buff with her burst for 10 seconds. idk if you have c6 amber, but it could maybe be useful in the future if you get her again on another randomized abyss as a support character. i do know using her as a lyney buffer with benny + anemo in the past has helped me out in the past with her. but yeah!
you know they its bad when the begging is them being family friendly as hard as they can and the end is them swearing at least once per 10 words
4:53 lisa is a weird character. Her hold E has one of the Highest multipliers but you need 3 stacks and aggravate want smaller hits. Her burst is a bit RNG with C4 but can be very good. But she needs lots of ER and it is a small AoE.
You can also build het for Hyperbloom but you will run out of stamina since her NA’s arent AoE. (She does ascend with EM so that’s nice). Her burst can trigger hyperblooms but you need ER.
Pre C6 she needs a decent amount of field time to stack which is ultimately a damage loss. (Except when you use venti burst/Superconduct/Overload bc of weird interaction with a small AoE on her tap E stackings)
I am a Lisa enjoyer and user and have her C6 triple crowned.
I use her mostly in a c3 Tighnari c2 yea c0 baizhu team. She does contribute damage but often the other characters deal enough damage to deal with smaller waves so i end up using her every other rotation or when i have some downtime.
An other strong team im using is Lisa, Yea, c0 Xianyun and Dendro Traveler. Very nice team and using traveler is a choice not a necessity.
Nahida applies too much dendro, so can collei burst. Kirara is a bit inconsistent and baizhu is on the other half and is a healer also.
A third team is a Lisa support team. C1 Neuvillette, c0 Furina, ER+prototype Lisa and c0 Kazuha. Though a bit of a squishy team lisa adds nice defense shred and still allows kazuha to swirl hydro. Did the magu kenki’s within 35 seconds with that team.

That Iniquitous Baptist at the end was your saving grace. I fight that guy on co-op all the time cause I'm building Baizhu, he's actually pretty easy as long as you have characters that can take down his shields.

I'm not the biggest Ningguang Expert, but I can try to give you some tips for her. If they are good tips isn't my thing to judge.
Each of her Normal attacks gives one of those little spinny rock things that circle around her. Having one decreases the stamina cost of her charged attack my 100% and you can have up to four. Each of them will dd an extra little homing projectile to your charged attack. If you have c6, her Ult will give you 7 of those things, turning the CA into a mini ult.
If you pass through her jade screen, you get a geo dmg bonus. I'm not sure how big it is, but having it is better than not having it. And having a jade screen active when you do her burst, causes it to basically do a second burst.
so If you want to play her onfield, running through the screens wheveer possible isn't a bad idea. The screen also blocks projectiles (which arguably all geo constructs, except for maybe Albedos flower do, Nings is just the widest, so it does it best. And it also doesn't get in your way as much), for whatevere that's worth.
Don't ask me about team comps though, I don't know anything about that.

My best idea for the second team on 12th floor was as follows:
Dori and Ningguang as supports
Xingqiu and Chongyun as dps, mostly bc there are enemies that you can vape/melt
To start you'd want to give Dori Bennett's build, except more hp and as much er as you can fit. Give her an er claymore bc most hp claymores have sh*t passives. Favonius would be best for the added battery. Then for Ningguang, I know this is niche, but Archic petra set - the stats would favourably be to make her a sub dps, but overall what matters most is the 4-piece effect. You could give her the 3-star weapon Tales of Dragon Slayers if your artifacts were shit, but if they were good I would consider going the dps option and give her any 5-star catalyst you have. She'd either be a full on support or a decent support/sub dps.
Then I'd do a more main dps oriented xingqiu build, but you could go with the usual emblem too. You'd just have to consider if you want him or chongyun to be on field. If you wanna depend on freeze a bit more, you should go with xingqiu as the driver, but if you would prefer some raw demage than I'd say chongyun. Either way, I would give xingqiu a 5-star weapon and if he's on field then either heart of depth or nymphs dream set. If he's not then go with emblem.
Then for chongyun I'd focus on his burst demage either way, but if he's on field then you could go for the freeze set - just be aware that claymores shatter frozen enemies. Otherwise I'd give him 2piece noblesse 2piece cryo/atk. A fair amount of er would be good, but if you have trouble with it you could always switch ningguang's weapon to a favonius too, then you'd have enough particles to combat low er.
Then for the rotation it'd probably go like this:
chongyun E > xingqiu E > ningguang E (pick up crystalize shard) > dori E & Q > chongyun Q > xingqiu Q > xingqiu/chongyun NA
unless you have dragon slayer's on ningguang, then you'd swap dori and ningguang around, but then you'd have to watch out not to pick up an electro shard. Also, we start with chongyun because if we made him go second he'd shatter the enemy most likely. Another note is that if you should probably try to do the ningguang>dori>chongyun progression as quickly as possible to not lose the petra buff / dori burst buff. The thing dealing the most damage here would presumably be chongyun's burst, then the frozen attacks. If chongyun's skill duration ends before you can start the NA's, you should refresh. By that time, if you have enough er you'd ideally start the rotation again, but if you don't then you'd weave in a couple of Es or Qs from Ningguang and some E's from dori before proceeding.
Now, I am writing this out for fun and theory-crafting, not because I want to berate you for playing the way you did. For the time and teams given, you did pretty great imo. Also, if you have any suggestions or disagree with my proposed team dynamics, I would gladly hear you out! I am aware that ningguang can be a great dps when pushed, but I don't think this team is one that would give her the support she needs to be at her best, so I decided to make chongyun and xingqiu the main dps instead. Alas, I have never tried this comp myself, so I wouldn't know how it'd perform in practice.

In my experience, the best way to use Ningguang is to use her Skill, walk through the screen, then start the following sequence: Skill again, use 2-3 Normal Attacks (holding movement in any direction while attacking, it helps animation-cancel for faster Normal Attacks), Charge Attack, walk through the screen, Burst, then Charge Attack again, and repeat.

For the lyney you can check his lv70 passive and it can double your total damage if you have a mono pyro team
25:08 with Ningguang you can cancel her NA’s just by simply holding W. Optimal is 1 A into CA and repeat. Use burst when screen is up. CA right after burst. her CA multiplier is higher than her NA’s so its better to do more CA’s than NA, unless you have C1 and you are in big AoE, than NA’s can be pretty easy. Walking thought her screen gives a Geo Damage Bonus. And don’t use her skill twice fast after an other. Though the cooldown is 12 seconds. With C2 or 4 you can double screen. HOWEVER, the elemental particle generation has a cooldown of 6 seconds.

on floor 11 the ruin spikey dude only flies if you take a lot of time or are midair (like you are with kazuha's skill), hope this helps in the future

I want to try using these characters to see if I could pass floor 12 😂 but my Amber is lvl 40. Could still be fun.
Three things:
Yoimya has multiple charge levels as well. She gets up to three extra weak homing projectiles with her charged attack, and she technically has the most charge levels of any character, as it is possible for her to fire 0 extra projectiles, although the window for this is mostly in the grace period where the charge animation hasn't finished but you still fire an elementally infused arrow. However, it is quite understandable for a Yoimya main to forget this part of her kit, as not even a single build uses her Charged Attack.
That really annoying flying enemy you couldn't hit was a Ruin Hunter, an enemy which has been in the game since *checks notes* 1.0. Not every Ruin Hunter in the game is allowed to use it, but Ruin Hunters have an attack where they fly up into the sky and then bombard a large area multiple times - but this attack can be interrupted by hitting their eye a single time with any attack, although the whole flying buisness means that you generally need a bow character to use an Aimed Shot (even the uncharged physical damage shot will do).
Also, for the future you should remember that as a general rule bosses are immune to taunt, and taunted enemies can still directly target players if they use any attack that marks its intended target before it does damage, such as Ruin Guard missiles and the Bond of Life inflicting attack of Fatui Agents.

I struggled very hard on this abyss because I took a break after Sumeru and only came back in 4.4, and since then I've been saving for Clorinde. And so I have no Fontaine characters besides Lynette (she isnt built). And thus I don't have Ousia for the one boss and so I need a shit ton of Pyro for BOTH sides.
I eventually got it with the team switching trick of the abyss, but I usually pride myself on not having to do that. I can't imagine doing it with random characters 😭😭😭
