After a driver update & GPU bios update, I've managed to get mine stable at 2055Mhz. Temps only went up to around 70c on the GPU, and Hot Spot hits around 80c while gaming. Only up around 7c from stock. The card is just over 1yr old according the the original purchase receipt that came in the box, The guy I bought the card off paid $1500au btw. While I'm typing this, the card is idling at around 50c for the GPU & 62c for the Hot Spot. I wouldn't be too swayed by technical specs. If you have a half-decent computer case, temperature and noise are non-issues; and stock 3070 speeds are pretty much the same. Good luck to those who want to pay more for attractive led, a particular build style, and an OC boost, but only you can decide what counts as 'value'.
@@MrStormShield I don't have hands-on xp of the Tesseract, so I can just point to a few of things: Considering the modest price, it's tempting to say that it's worth the money, but that's not necessarily true. It has design features seen in cases 10 years ago, including 2x 5.25" drive bays - do you need those? A related point is, those bays use front-panel space normally occupied by fans these days. 3 front fans are now quite common, as seen in some of the best airflow designs. Speaking of fans, the Tesseract uses 120mm, which are less effective than 140mm and are sometimes noticeably more audible. I stress that I'm guessing at its 3070 suitability from the info at hand. It may be perfectly adequate, but I have doubts that it's ideal. I'd suggest allocating more money for a better case. That extra cash would a small percentage of the overall build cost, and I'm sure it would make a great difference in terms of airflow/cooling/low noise, and your peace of mind. There are some very well reviewed cases from BeQuiet, Corsair and others, but I'm biased toward Phanteks because I happen to have the P600s, and it's a beaut. Silent, cool, built like a tank, good cable management, and great looking. It's ideal for any GPU on the market, and has all the space you might need for any CPU cooler.

I have a PNY Revel XLR8 and it runs so freaking cool. I made my fan curve a little more aggressive than the default and it really impressed me. Haven't seen temps above 70 under intense loads. Card idles at a nice 30c
I have the same card, and I used to feel a little bummed I don't own a card from one of the big companies (EVGA, ROG, etc.) What sort of case do you have? How many case fans?
From what i've seen the overclocks dont really give you that much extra performance we are talking 1-5 fps in some cases and overclocking the memory seems to give better results than the gpu. The cards are already good at stock. If they struggle at stock then overclocking is unlikely to solve anything.
I have the Gigabyte Gaming OC and I’m pretty happy. Runs at about 52-55C (maybe a bit cooler that the chart due to my case). I never hear it spun up the fans, and it runs everything great. Glad I went with the Strix for my setup!!! Was between the asus tuf and strix... not sure the rgb and cooling is worth the extra $ compared to the tuf though. With prices being as crazy as they are, this strix 3070 isn't super over msrp rn. I'm a fanboy lol
Pain but not pain, still better than my current GTX 960 2GB, and I won't cancel the order cus who knows when I would get one if I ordered again now, and for what price. On release the price was very close to FE, after that the retailer priced up all of them by 50$+.

Does someone know what the difference is between the rtx 3070 Msi Suprim 8G and the Suprim X 8G i haven't found a comparison online
The X has 20W higher default power limit, so will perform slightly better at default. But the max power limit is the same so max overclocks will be the same.

Great informative video. I very recently got a Gigabyte TRX3070 Eagle OC second hand reasonably cheap. Stock clock settings have the card at 1770Mhz. I'm more than happy with the card, It's shown a reasonable upgrade from my old RTX2070 Super Gaming OC that I replaced. I'm in Australia btw, and paid $520au second hand for a 1 and a bit year old card, and they're still going for around $900au new here. While I'm typing this, the card is idling at around 50c for the GPU & 62c for the Hot Spot. I'm happy with that, but once the warrenty runs out, I'll redo the thermal paste & see if I can get the temps down a bit white gaming.

@@blindguardian8599 Wow i got the same one for 679 euros here (Netherlands) You litteraly payed 79 euro more than a 3080 here
I'm from Argentina too, I've got the Gigabyte 3080 Vision yesterday at $ 148k. The prices are high but they won't get lower than that. The Gaming OC was at the same price but stock ran out very quickly. I was expecting the Aorus Master but it seems that it will cost like $ 200k.

Is the msi ventus 3x shouldn't be a buy if its the only available card?
I wouldn't be too swayed by technical specs. If you have a half-decent computer case, temperature and noise are non-issues; and stock 3070 speeds are pretty much the same. Good luck to those who want to pay more for attractive led, a particular build style, and an OC boost, but only you can decide what counts as 'value'.
@@fred_2021 Would you say deepcool tesseract is a good case for any 3070?, I think i can do better.
@@MrStormShield I don't have hands-on xp of the Tesseract, so I can just point to a few of things:
Considering the modest price, it's tempting to say that it's worth the money, but that's not necessarily true.

Which website?
