Pep doesn't even play to Haaland's strengths at all. So crazy that so many people don't understand football enough to recognize this. It's always Haaland who gets blamed for some reason when Foden, the PL Player of the Year, was even worse, and KDB was horrible as well and subbed off early in yet another final. There's a reason Haaland doesn't score the kind of goals that he did at Dortmund while on City, and suddenly people call him a "tap in merchant" now... it's because Pep wants him to play centrally, in the box, and create space for the wingers to work from the sides and outside the box. Being a "tap in merchant" is exactly what Pep wants him to be, so while I think Pep is capable, he's unwilling to move away from his style of play that's been so successful and therefore Haaland's overall game suffers. Haaland just scores despite it because he's a brilliant goal scorer. And yeah, he does need to be better in finals, but it's a silly narrative that oversimplifies something way more complicated than "0 goals in Finals for City"... well let's take a look at Pep's tactics in these finals, the style of play and what kind of game is taking place. All these clowns like you claiming that City are better without Haaland and better with Alvarez and still Alvarez fails in almost all games and minutes he has played and City have done better with Haaland on the pitch. You even tell a total lie when you claim that they always try to find him. Every single pundit, ex player and other football experts have said that the City players try to pass Haaland the ball way to few times. The main problem regarding Haaland is that his team mates DON*T try to find him because of how Pep wants them to play. They spend most of the 90 minutes passing the ball sideways and backwards instead of trying to score goals.
Adopt better? He is clearly told by Pep to play the way he is at City. Haaland didn't play like this at Molde, Salzburg or Dortmund. I promise you that Ronaldo would struggle the same if not even more if he was to play for Pep at City. Even at his prime. Ronaldo had extremely poor shot conversion. MUCH worse than Haaland had this season. And with so few passes as Haaland gets, Ronaldo would most likely be biting Pep's head off if he was in Haaland's shoes. They are not able to remember what they said last time and just come with new waffling that fits the narrative every time. The reality is that PEP does NOT play to Haaland's strengths and it is so extremely obvious to see. I have always said that Haaland would be much better off playing for Real Madrid as they would really play to his strengths. Haaland would also be amazing playing for Arsenal under Arteta as also Arteta would do that.
He does not have the skill set to be an all-round player. He is strictly a poacher. An all round striker is has these skill set: Speed Strength (Haaland checks this) Dribbling ability (He doesn't check this) An Eye for goal (He checks this) Versatile (He doesn't check this) A perfect example was R9. Haaland doesn't have all these qualities. Hats why it's easy for great defenders to take him out of a game. Simply because he is one dimentional.
3:40 this is the big problem with Man city. During attack, they are not as versatile anymore & can get quite predictable against teams that set up well defensively
I think Haaland needs to be a more complete player but that being said. I think last year Grealish crossed the ball quite well. But it seems every year he’s becoming more negative in his play which is a shame. Doku, I like. He reminds me of a snake ready to strike which how he slows the tempo down and then bites / accelerates. Pure electricity. Haaland is young and will learn more things - I think Kane would have been a good fit as he’s learned the ability to drop deep and score all types of goals.
In Germany and before he was an all-round player and did good. But in Man C PEP want him only there so as a good soldier he is doing as he have been told!
The problem is not Haaland, it's Pep's pedestrian boring tiki taka style of play that rarely gets the ball early or enough to Haaland, Haaland needs to find another major club asap
Frank, you can't blame ETH specifically for all the injuries at Utd. Liverpool had perhaps more injuries than them, along with Newcastle and Tottenham. The fact that several teams experienced severe injury problems refutes the idea that this is down to specific managers. Maybe players play too much football ever considered that. I notice footballers and ex-pros never come out and criticize FIFA/UEFA for fixture congestion - if they do it is very rare. Why? because they are happy taking obscene amounts of money.

Then Haaland will be much better off playing for a different club. I am sure there is a top La Liga club VERY eager to sign him.
Haaland is definitely one of the best strikers in the world. He's being wasted at City. Pep loves to kill players' individual talents and instead mold them into plastic versions of themselves to fit his system. Same happened with Grealish. Same will probably happen with Doku.

Sometimes he can sound like a sore loser but you can’t blame him for what he says especially since he doesn’t lose a lot
Pep Guardiola is just not a good coach. That's why MC only barely won one Champions league. Crossing the ball into the box is statistically one of the most effective and spectacular way to score. David Beckham was a master at deploying that technique, mostly diagonal ones, which led to many goals for England and his clubs. Halland would be the perfect target. Pep's lack of football knowledge is disguised by the fact that he only coaches teams with the best players. Jesus even called him a madman for his weird ineffective techniques.
He should have chosen a coach that will develop his all-around game. Pep haven’t really done much for him. He is just good at scoring but in a few years when he gets slow, he will be done.

Haaland was for sure the true Ballon d'Or winner last season, but those frauds gave it to Messi because of the World Cup win.
A total joke considering that the Ballon d'Or is no World Cup prize.
But the Ballon d'Or has lost it's shine MANY years ago.
It has been a popularity contest for many years and not so much about the quality on the pitch.
I'm not sure what a "Ballon d'Or-type-player" is but the Ballon d'Or award is a performance-based award.

Because Man United wasn't Man United when SAF took over... that was a stupid question.

Everyone is a sore loser but truth is Rodri is downright disrespectful and thinks football should be played on his perspective. For somebody who was at Atletico is actually rich of him to think every team should play like City does. Oh and any day ESPN praises United you know the end is near
No. Haaland is one-dimensional, wonderfully so, but doing anything else would make him less lethal.
How is Dortmund reaching the CL final not in the top surprises?? haha
Bro said never served? He scored over 50 last season and 40 odd this season he makes them play worse because all they do is try find him its not pep or his mates fault that without simple shitty tapins he's dreadful id sell him and make Alvarez the main man haalands record in the big games is absolutely atrocious
You are a clown that do not know or understand football at all.
Alvarez the main man?
Please tell us all what Alvarez has done this season.
Haaland will never be a Messi or Ronaldo but he can be a great goal scorer.. he just needs to adopt better.
If Haaland had played for Real Madrid instead now, he would score tons of goals and most likely more than both Messi and Ronaldo did in their prime in La Liga.
It was and still is so extremely much easier to score in La Liga than it is in the Premier League now.

Let us be real.
Moreno, Shaka and Frank together with Gab are the last ones at ESPN that we should listen to.
I've seen this Haaland guy play and his major strength seems to be his height to receive crosses for headers over shorter players...
He does not have the skill set to be an all-round player. He is strictly a poacher.
An all round striker is has these skill set:
Speed
Strength (Haaland checks this)
Dribbling ability (He doesn't check this)
An Eye for goal (He checks this)
Versatile (He doesn't check this)
A perfect example was R9.
Haaland doesn't have all these qualities. Hats why it's easy for great defenders to take him out of a game. Simply because he is one dimentional.
Haaland be like : Give me Sheffield, Give me Brentford, Give me Luton or i retire 🎶 🎵
9:06 Frank, most of them didn't get the injury during the training. It was heavy match load and lack of option to rotate. Have some insights Frank
He just talks nonsense without a deeper analysis
I think he's a one-dimensional player
3:40 this is the big problem with Man city. During attack, they are not as versatile anymore & can get quite predictable against teams that set up well defensively
Frank's response to the Varane and Martinez question (around 7:50) is a disgrace.
If Haaland played for Real Madrid he would score much more. Guardiola doesn't let him play the way he want and should play...
'SHAKKA SURELY YOU WERE AN UNDERDOG IN EVERY GAME YOU PLAYED'🤣💔
I think Haaland needs to be a more complete player but that being said.
I think last year Grealish crossed the ball quite well. But it seems every year he’s becoming more negative in his play which is a shame.
Doku, I like. He reminds me of a snake ready to strike which how he slows the tempo down and then bites / accelerates. Pure electricity.
Haaland is young and will learn more things - I think Kane would have been a good fit as he’s learned the ability to drop deep and score all types of goals.
13:26 Venezuela 1 - Argentina 0!!! A beautiful underdog story! 🍷
Has pep ever coached anyone into a better player? He buys players who fit his profiles, when they don’t conform he buys the next player
In Germany and before he was an all-round player and did good. But in Man C PEP want him only there so as a good soldier he is doing as he have been told!
Carl Walker was the main culprit he was trying to go to the middle just telling rashwod go and attack on my side and score
Haaland is just a better Lukaku…. He can never be a Zlatan, Benzema, Kane or Lewy. He can never have a magnetic first touch.

If I was so lucky to be Haaland, and Pep and City do not change this a lot next season, I would hand in my transfer request the second next season is over.
Then Haaland will be much better off playing for a different club.
I am sure there is a top La Liga club VERY eager to sign him.
It’s easy to take this show for granted
Doku is a waste as a winger not to bring his centre forward into the game more often. Even Raheem Sterling is more effective than him
Haaland is definitely one of the best strikers in the world. He's being wasted at City. Pep loves to kill players' individual talents and instead mold them into plastic versions of themselves to fit his system. Same happened with Grealish. Same will probably happen with Doku.
You know you are angry at Man City for winning four in a row when you try to complain about a back to back golden boot winner, this is not Man Utd where the FA cup is the world cup. Sterling wanted to play how he wants to play now he's at Chelsea in the conference, you can tell Stevie wasnt in today the only actual winner. No way Kroos starts over Scholes though.
Frank is the master of saying the same thing, other have already said. In different words
Seems like every time it goes wrong for City suddenly it's all about Haaland???
Will the most prolific scorer in Europe improve, or is he a finished product at 23? Geez, I don’t know 🙄
Rodri isn’t used to losing that’s the reality because every time he loses, he starts complaining and saying that this team didn’t play well enough to win: Real Madrid in the champions league, Morocco in the World Cup and Scotland in the EUROs qualifiers. Sometimes he can sound like a sore loser but you can’t blame him for what he says especially since he doesn’t lose a lot
Seems like alot of losing base on your comment
Martinez has already paid off despite the injury, won them this cup
Pep Guardiola is just not a good coach. That's why MC only barely won one Champions league. Crossing the ball into the box is statistically one of the most effective and spectacular way to score. David Beckham was a master at deploying that technique, mostly diagonal ones, which led to many goals for England and his clubs. Halland would be the perfect target. Pep's lack of football knowledge is disguised by the fact that he only coaches teams with the best players. Jesus even called him a madman for his weird ineffective techniques.
Scholes on the same level as Xavi and Kroos is a joke. The guy was pish for England and wasn't even playing when Utd finally won the Champions League

He should have chosen a coach that will develop his all-around game. Pep haven’t really done much for him. He is just good at scoring but in a few years when he gets slow, he will be done.
