you seen the average price of standalone sequencers that do midi, euro cv, Buchla cv, hz/v, made from recycled materials, with alternate firmwares in the works, a hidden accelerometer (apparently from talking to hadj at SB), powers from almost anything, portable and completely playable.... oh no wait, that doesn't exist... saddens me to see people hating on innovation... if it's not for you, cool, just be nice.
Small batch stuff is always expensive though right? It’s the nature of the beast. Development time, prototyping, paying a software/hardware dev to bring an idea to fruition, parts (super HQ faders), making ethical choices like using recycled plastic and making a donation to charity from each unit sold, tooling for the mass produced parts/case. It’s not like it’s a eurorack module with a defined format etc, which I assume are cheaper to manufacture and cost similar, yet no one moans? Give Hadj a break, if you don’t like the price, don’t buy it and don’t moan about it, and don’t make smug comments about Mecca FFS. Surely we’re all better than that?
It looks pretty cool. If possible, they should get it into a slimmer form factor.
Quite apt for someone called Hadj to express the joy at being in a metaphorical Mecca ...
Fun & easy
noice..
but the price.... c´mon..
