Imagine I want to build a really slim motor with the AksIM encoder. How close can I position the encoder magnet ring and the encoder read head from the rotor magnets? In your example above it looks like there are around 40-50mm clearance between the motor magnet and the encoder magnet ring. What if I want to reduce this to only a few mm instead? Another question is if I dont need an absolute encoder do you have any incremental read head option that I can position right next to my rotor magnet ring instead of using the encoder ring? It would save me one component and reduce overall build height.
Dear Björn, we have multiple encoder options for motor control. Ring encoders, shaft encoders, PCB version or sealed read heads. I suggest you check out our website: www.rls.si/eng/ and use the configurator to configure your encoder. And if you have other questions, please let us know at sales@rls.si. Thank you for your interest in RLS sensors, Martina
