Nice video, just happened to be watching you tube videos and came across yours. I subscribed right away. The only comment that I would like to offer is the importance of wearing ear protection and chaps. Once you loose some hearing its too late. I am speaking from experience as a youngster I shot many clay birds with a shotgun without wearing hearing protection, so what little hearing I have left I protect it with combo of hard hat, hearing protection and a face shield when cutting wood. have l
I would like to buy the hard hat/ ear protection because it’s much simpler… I usually carry that stuff with me just forget to put it on or hate taking it off and putting it back on…
@@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie totally understand about the 4x4..... I have always had 4 wheel drives.. until 3 years when I bought a refurbished 5 ton 6x6 military dump truck with a 20K hydraulic winch..... Unbelievable truck !
Hello country bumkins, what happened to the Hulk? I had a 69 C10 CHEVEY Stepside PU, the biggest mistake was selling it!! Hope U still have it. What type of axe do you use when you're felling trees?
I love them both! I’ve ran stihl all my life from 8 years old till now I am gonna be 32 next month and I just bought the husky this year… stihl will always have my heart but I honestly like running the husky more and husky is 200-300 dollars cheaper then the same size stihl

@@mowdan77 the 372xp is a very great saw! If you can find one… but the new husky in that size is a 572 which has that new auto tune… couple falling buddies use them and say they are light and a ton of chain speed!

Send me some of the nastiest hardwood you can find and I will make a special episode for you… honestly I want to try it out because I’ve never cut hardwood we don’t have it in my area but some of the “softwood” we have ain’t so soft… them terms get thrown around pretty loosely lol

I use a mint 1972 F350 with a stake body dump ( only 20,400 miles a her ). I also have a nice 1988 E350 extended van converted when new by ‘Quigley’ to 4x4. My every day fire wood trucks are a 1992 Chevy v6 1500 long box, a 1996 Chevy v8 1500 long box and a 2003 Ford F-150 club cab. I load my sawmill and log splitter is supplied by a pair of Ford tractors ( a 9n and an 8n with a loader ). I thought I would need 4x4 trucks in Michigan, but have only used the 4x4 a dozen times in 18 years.

Yes sir I only buy 4x4 I owned one 2 wheel drive drive and it was a 84 Chevy s10 with a small block in it… I was young and going fast was fun haha
