Siempre a sido muy humilde..eso es lo que identifica a los buenos campeones la unidad y nada de soberbia..platicando con el me decía yo nací para campeón del mundo y lo voy a lograr eso fue en 1989 en las Vegas lugar en donde peleamos y tres años más tarde surge como campeón ganándole a un coreano el de la FIB...y de hay se fue a lo grande...no lo envidio al contrario lo admiro a pesar de haberme ganado

Congrats Champ , you went through a lot and kept fighting. Good to see you in the hall of fame. R.I.P Angel Carbajal grew up a few houses from you and watched you as a kid .
My son was friends with you and I got to know you. We moved and didn't see you often. Once in a while I run into you at a taco place. I got to meet your mother when you won the silver in the Olympics and you showed me the belt. I have always been so proud of you I have often thought of you. Take care and you earned it.
