How are the classics as a set working out??? I recently purchased the classic 35 and 50mm both 1.4 and I’m considering making them my workhorse set because I’m digging the look I’m getting out of these lenses.
@@Ed_Scott I have the 35 f2 instead of the 1.4 due to the sharpness difference, but they’re an incredible set. Don’t tell anyone else actually I’m tryna get all of them. 🤫
Those are all great options! The appeal of this set is clearly the speed and the amount of focal length options. Also…. Zeiss makes all the glass for the ARRI master/signature/ultra primes.
Great review as always! Im as a Canon shooter didn't really get what you are talking at 24:18 about "image shift"? Whats the difference between Fx3 and bigger cameras like Burano? Thank you!
Then lens is not locked on Fx3 or Fx6 because of the mount, so when using focus motors the lens could move a bit in the mouth which results in image shifts.
Been waiting for this one!!!
I made my own Zeiss classic set recently, and it’s completely transformed my work

It's a tough market position with the Cooke SP3 vs the DZOFILM Vespid and the Nisi Athena kits.

@@gemini1213 got it. Thanks 🤙🏼
I like the CP.3 lenses, and they are more versatile.
me too, on top of that Zeiss has a depth of field chart for the CP.3 line, the nano primes have no such chart.
Good news about flare suppression.
man-o-man, I HATE those nasty Jar Jar Abrahams flare disasters!
