Man we grew up not liking Turkey from childhood. We never had it, not even for Thanksgiving. I decided to try doing a whole Turkey on the grill one year and my wife and I were blown away! I’ve done Grilled Turkey wings, smoked bone-in Turkey breasts whole turkeys; but the one that blew us both away was Grilled Turkey thighs! Bro. If you haven’t done that one that is a must-try. Good stuff as usual Pop!
I'm still not a turkey fan Ron, I cooked now because I know most of our fans enjoy them. I'll eat a wing now and again. I may try smothering some wings in the bear future. Possible collab?
Thanks for sharing his poking technique for the dry rub. I never pierce my meat for dry rubs-just when using marinades. I love turkey! Can hardly ever find wings but I’ll be looking out. Or I’ll try on turkey thighs.
The Expert grill is about 4-5 inches deeper than the Weber. The extra distance between fire and cooking grate makes it a great way to get a slower, hotter and smoky direct cook.
Good job…. I smoked the wings and after they cool down the skin gets rubbery … since using grilling and a higher temp th y should b great…. I may try it today
@@mamaandpapajoe Hmmm I wonder how 6 to 8 hours at 175 in the sous vide followed by a reverse sear would be for the drums? First off I got to find the wings before I can experiment 😁
Eat these while warm/hot folks, they get rubbery after cooling!

@@mamaandpapajoe I've never done one but I'd love to brother!
Massive looking turkey wings. They do look so good. A nice cook. Cheers! 👍👍✌️
Fred Flintstone would have been proud 🤣🤣
@@mamaandpapajoe You bet! Fred Flintstone would say Yabba Dabba Doo!
Those look incredible....in the immortal words of Redd Foxx; "That aint no jive turkey"😆 great job CJ👍🏼🍻🇺🇸
🤣🤣🤣Thanks man... so good while warm but definitely not after cooling.
@@mamaandpapajoe yeah that skin gets rubbery😝 this popped up just while I was watching Sanford and Son🤣😂🫣
I have a Turkey store near me and I do wings all the time , so good, thanks
That's awesome Marie, the flats are my favorite part!. Thanks for watching.
I love turkey pieces! For Christmas I ham brined a leg and thigh! Oh em geeee. So goood
I'll have to try a thigh... legs are very muscular!

Always a pleasure lady!
I wasn't sure what to think when I first saw them, but oh man, they look delectable
Thanks a lot Guy. They were really good hot.
Holy crap ! Turkey ? Must have been a 75# bird! Those wings are huge but as usual you nailed it !
🤣🤣🤣 Turkey Wings are massive man... 2 lbs plus each one!
Those wings went from scary looking to delicious. Darn those things were big. You know how to rock that kettle CJ.
Yuuuuge! 🤣🤣🤣
You guys just gave me a new idea to cook this summer lol. But I’ll probably try smoked turkey wings on the grill…..Thanks a lot.
You're going to love them! Thanks for watching.
Great video!! That jalapeño garlic is something serious!!!
For real bruh! Dammit!
Looks awesome CJ. It can be difficult to get that skin tender and crispy, looks like you nailed it
No doubt T! Unfortunately, the rubbery skin returns after they cool. Mama didn't finish one when she got home from work ! lolol
Yum! I might have to give these a go!
You're going to love em!
Great VIDEO ❤ GREAT TURKEY ❤ WINGS !
Thank you so much for watching Antonio.😋
I really like that hinged grate. I've never seen one before.
You can find them at Walmart or on Amazon Lynn. Thanks for watching.
Great looking wizzzzzzzzangs!
Thanks TM...
Mannnnn you must of gotten them wings off an eagle! Those were huge! Did that charcoal put out a flavor profile or just add aromatics to the smoke?
I can't 100% say that you can taste extra garlic/onion in the end but you can smell it Zach.
Now that is what I call grill roasted!
Quick question - Why did you choose the “Expert Grill” for this cook instead of your Weber, WSM or Traeger?
The Expert grill is about 4-5 inches deeper than the Weber. The extra distance between fire and cooking grate makes it a great way to get a slower, hotter and smoky direct cook.
@@mamaandpapajoe - You actually are BBQ scientist but most people don’t realize it. I like your style sir!
I saw this alert this morn.so when I was at the store I checked to see if I could get a turkey wing, nothing like these Fred Flintstone would be proud
These were definitely related to the dinosaurs Lance!

The same with these True-blue. Great while hot but a little rubbery after cooling. That's just the nature of the thick skin.
Really like what I'm seeing here CJ. Now I got to find some turkey wings.
What's the plan for the drums?
I'm going to stew or smother the drummies WC. They are just way too lean n tough for any type of grilling.

Nice
Thanks so much for watching Canis!
The skin piercing technique is pretty legit.
A nice little tool to tenderize anything CD!
thanks pops
A pleasure Hotwire!
Awesome! Thanks for representing the kettle grill from Expert Grill, I've had mine going on 4 years now!
Right on Kwlvin. People sleep on the Expert grill but it's as good, if not better than the Weber Kettle.
bomb
My man!
