Model Railway Layout with Italian High Speed Trains (Treni in Transito: Plastico HO Trenitalia)

- This video presents a model railway tour of an Italian modular model train layout including railroad operations with high-speed trains (“Frecciarossa”) and electric locomotives hauling very long passenger and freight trains. This HO scale layout - Italians say “plastico ferroviario” - was built by the club “Gruppo Fermodellistico Tartaruga” in Rome, Italy. In the first part of the video, we are at the railway station in “Arsia”. Standing on the platform we see departing and arriving trains of the Italian railroad company named “Trenitalia”.
In the second part, some modules are presented, for example a hydroelectric power station, bridges, small stations such as “Cimone”, and a camping site. The focus, however, is always on the passing trains which are called “treni” or “trenini” by the Italian model railroaders. In the third part we are in the surroundings of the railroad station in “Giari Marittima”. This is a large station including six main tracks and some side tracks. There is a lot of railway traffic, almost every 20 seconds trains are rushing through the station. Finally, night falls and the last video images taken in “Giari Marittima” show us how beautifully the platforms and trains are illuminated.

Lovely video with rakes of many Italian liveried coaches. Reminds me of my earlier years watching trains passing through Venezia-Mestre station, especially the Venice Simplon Orient Express. Beautiful!

Il plastico è molto bello, se mi posso permettere alcune considerazioni:
- Ho notato che molti binari non sono ben posati, si nota perchè i rotabili a volte salgono e scendono, peccato.
- Sarebbe molto piú realistico se i rotabili fossero invecchiati/sporcati.
- La catenaria..... dov'è?
- In un plastico cosí grande io avrei inserito una zona "marittima", con tanto di spiaggia e bagnanti, il connubio mare+ferrovia ha un non so che di magico, sia nella realtá che nel modellismo.
Penso che un plastico del genere abbia comunque ampi margini per essere migliorato, è giá molto bello come insieme, complimenti.

Bello l'effetto audio con suoni veri, ma non si possono vedere modelli di treni elettrici che corrono coi pantografi abbassati e senza linea aerea. Bocciato

Molto bello, soprattutto per il montaggio degli effetti sonori che in alcuni casi non sono appropriati, come il transito delle 1400 e e qualche bitonale o tromba fuori epoca... ma son quisquiglie per l'originalità del complesso. Bene l'assenza della linea aerea e i pantografi abbassati, poichè sono sempre elementi distorsivi della realtà essendo fuori scala e che al vero all' osservatore sfuggono di vista,

I want these high speed train
It is obviously a module layout. One can see the sagging of each section. At the joints there are humps. Too bad. Other than that it is very impressive, so are the trains with their prototypical speed and the selection of coaches. A lot of effort has gone into the synchronizing of real train sounds, in places it is a bit too dominating.
Salve, posso chiedere come avete realizzato la massicciata ferroviaria? Appoggiando i binari direttamente sui sassolini?

Nice video & beautiful layout but could do without the real sounds overlayed on the video, its actually quite annoying.
The video was created via Pilentum's Upload Service, see www.pilentum-television.com/en/video-upload.htm - The Italian model railway friends shot videos and Pilentum edited these single files to a video presentation. Unfortunately, there was no usable original audio track. Therefore, I had to dub all the video files.
De treinen rijden véél te snel vooral gedurende de passage in stations waar reizigers staan te wachten. Vrachttreinen razen door stations geladen met gevaarlijke tankwagens.
Bovenleiding : ja maar geen pantografen ! Lege passagiersrijtuigen. Realistisch rijgedrag is soms ver te zoeken als je treinen ziet omhoog wippen op het spoor.
Zonde want er is veel tijd gestoken in deze baan maar waarom deze storende details niet wegwerken. Tip : pantografen kan je vastzetten met een onzichtbare nylondraad dat geeft
tenminste de indruk van werkelijkeheid.
