What a beautiful park, we haven't been to this one yet. Those canon ball rock formations were incredible as were the other rock formations. Great views from the overlook. And it was awesome seeing the scenic drive and the Bison. That was great when you walked way out on that trail.... it looked like you were forever far away. Nice campground too. What a great sunset!
Thanks Nicole, we really need more time to explore this park! It felt so peaceful there. I suspect there are even more hidden gems in that grassland as well.
What a beautiful place!! We were actually planning on getting there this summer but didn't make it. We are now working on a new project for the road! Really enjoyed seeing more of the park with you guys!! ;-) 💙Terry and Terri
The park doesn't think that anymore they set in motion a couple months ago a management plan to eliminate the wild horses from the park completely to where there won't be any more ever again
@@SlonesWildernessExpeditions they have admitted to it we had a zoom conference with the park and head of the national park system. It's been all over the news here in ND and on social media sights like mine on fb and others who have been documenting this herd for years
The views go on and on. Beautiful !
Thanks! It really is a beautiful area, need to explore it more in depth.
Loved the cannonballs an rock formations. Thanks boys beautiful place
Glad you enjoyed it! Lots of great scenery and interesting history.
Wow, this area is beyond spectacular my friend! So nicely elaborated!
Many thanks! It's a beautiful park.

It's a worthy stop on a road trip! Good luck with the new project, I've got all kinds of ideas but not the money to make it happen, LOL.
@@SlonesWildernessExpeditions Thanks!
Subscribed. Great channel
Welcome aboard!
Yes I have been to everything shown... This park invented the Jr ranger program...
That's awesome, my son did the Jr. Ranger program at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park back in 2011.
Been through there. Beautiful park but I agree quite busy.
The north unit wasn't as busy, but we had that little campground all to ourselves. It's just fun exploring new-to-us places!
I could be wrong, but it looks like the view at the campsite is just as good, if not better than the park.
It was pretty nice, and if we had stayed longer, that trail behind the campground keeps going!
This park lacks a dedicated trail crew and when things become slow they grab people shorting much of the park to do trail maintance....
The park doesn't think that anymore they set in motion a couple months ago a management plan to eliminate the wild horses from the park completely to where there won't be any more ever again
If so, they haven't admitted to that on their website, as that's where I got the information.

@@heatherwhite1571 Good to know, but sad. Thanks for the updated info!
I was born here
Awesome! Beautiful area!
It's OK but the western parks are much better. Go west.
This IS west 🤣 And yes, there are much better parks, we stopped here on our way to Glacier.
Great Plains.
@pointreyes4272 20 miles from the Montana border, which is also great plains. Still west!
