at 4:05 - 4:07 it looks like you've changed something, first the yarn comes out in the front, then it comes out in the back, i'm not good at this so i'm very confused. after the very first stitch, is the yarn supposed to come out towards me or away from me? edit: english is also not my first language, right after the moment i mentioned, you say ''by working back through it'' do you mean i do another stitch so that the yarn comes out the back?
I turned the project around so the right side was facing me. With the right side of the project facing you, the yarn would be coming out the back of your project.
If I’m doing the sewing method, how do you suggest tying off the sewing, before adding the handing part? Like after I finished sewing the dowel on, how should I secure it?

I simple tie a knot and weave the end through the sewing. Hope that helps.

I may have removed a dowel to use on another project and then swapped it out again 🤣
