Find we have many similar choices across your videos. Seat - I use steelcase leap at work and herman miller embody at home (waiting for atlas headrest). Mouse - logitech G604 as hybrid, find it has better battery life than basilisk. NAS - I've been using 8 bay synology nas - it lasts forever (current one 12 yrs old) and can just keep adding hdd every 2-3 yrs to spread batch failure and to another back-up (I use two partition within same NAS); soon will have to look at 10G network. For monitor, I'm waiting for 4k oled else I'd have gotten a alienware or samsung 34". For decor, I got a dalibor farny nixie clock instead of flyte. Noted you stopped using your divoom - got tired of it? :)
wow great minds think alike! Too bad the 38" alienware is just IPS and not qd-oled... the divoom quietly sitting on my shelf haa
I really love the idea of the mini office being in an aquarium in the back of the living room. The modern white aesthetic with splashes of color is an interesting pick, contrasting with the popular dark setups nowadays. Also the video quality was good, keep up the good work ^^

On top of that, adding your touch on tech and taste.

You could get the.. uhm..... internal ssds for the internal ssds to make youtube videos with the internal ssds you know? and you could have put them in there. Sir! And then you wouldnt have to use the uh.... what do those old timers call it? Oh yeah, 3.5 inch HHDs that are only filling 2 slots in your NAS. Sir! ooooooor used the sata connections on your motherboard and put the 2.5 inch in the back sir. We love you, we care about you, but you need to get some help sir. I am a bit surprised you are not getting a pair of speakers to complement your setup. I mean headphones are great to deliver fidelity sound but having it over the head for long hours does not work for me. If you do get a pair of speakers, which set would you be getting?
because most of the time the TV is on, but i will definitely consider putting a pair of speakers if the lifestyle change. I am interested to try out the edifier mr4

before i start watchiching this video. i have query and that is how did you do the cable management? monitor and cpu case is kept same way like yours in frame at 0:02.

to be honest the entire video i was thinking where tf is the mouse space on that pad, dpi/sensitivity must be very high for that little space. there are deskmats that allow for this without compromising the office-ish look you want to have
I am selling these mouse pads so i can literally swap them out anything, but i dont have any issue with the space even with the 38" monitor

Man that way having the view at the living room is super nice. For the LED I would probably add a L shape slat on bottom of the glass and under it add the LED facing the wall that way the entire wall would look nice! Super nice setup.

How did you find sitting on the leap with the headrest so far, especially sitting for long hours? I'm really torn whether I should get one after reading so many reviews on the ergo chairs, looks like Leap is still unbeatable to many, despite the not-so-great headrest. From taobao high-end ergochairs, Herman Miller you name it, I've pretty much research them all. But the only one that I've tried is Aeron & Leap V2. The lumbar & the hugging-feel of Leap is fantastic.

I am living in Australia but was just in Singapore 2 weeks ago. I was trying to work out where you lived from your view outside your window then you talked about the cost of the chair in SGD and I understood! I have been tossing up whether to buy a SecretLabs chair or not, they are very expensive. Then you talk about your chair and the SecretLabs look not so expensive. all the best.

the thickness of the top matters when it comes to wobbling, so it depends on which specific top that you are getting. I suppose your main concern is with the monitor? What monitor arm you use matters too

Hi Alex I have a question about your synology server, does it have to be on 24/7 for it to work as intended? What is the consumption on this thing and does it eat through electricity to the point where your electricity bills has a significant rise? Thanks in advance!
it depends, technically you can switch it off, electrical consumption details should be found inside the specs sheet in their website
