How do some tunes sound so crisp compared to others? Is it just how they are mastered at the end of production or are my headphones just really loud rn? Awesome tune tho!
it's the sound design and mixing throughout the production process! mastering is only a 5% of the work to making a crisp track! :D yep the tune is sick af!
Depends on the compression level and what mixdown sacrifices are needed to achieve it. This tune is loud, but it's not as loud as other drum and bass tracks, so it likely wasn't extremely difficult to achieve an appropriate level of clarity. In other words, there was a greater amount of freedom with the sounds used compared to other tracks.
