You, Teddy is part of the reason I started brewing. You brought my attention to homebrewing from a few of your posts on the good old AVforum back in the days. So thank you 🍻
@@thols1 As soon as I saw your comment I thought I remembered your avatar, although the name wasn't exactly the same... It was a bit blurry, but to me it looked like Hitchcock... Correct?
Were I to brew a malt liquor, I would use Nugget (or some other "old school" high alpha American hop), 2-row, and corn sugar. Not only are you shooting for gravity, you're also trying to take as much cost out of the brew as you can....
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought malt liquors used corn, rice, etc over barley as the primary fermetable. Isn't that what defines a malt liquor? The abv definition tells me your run of the mill IPA is also a "malt liquor". James' beer is more Mexican lager than malt liquor.
Hey, what’s been done with IPAs….you COULD do with malt liquor right? You COULD create a potential new trend 🤷🏻♀️👌🏼 how many people drink IPA for the flavor these days versus for the ABV? It’s become trendy…however, with “malt liquor” having the high abv, you could potentially create a really tasty beer 🍻 with the high alcohol content 🤷🏻♀️👌🏼 then we could drink yummy high abv lol cool experiment 👌🏼
7.6%.... sounds like an Imperial Vienna....most malt liquor are very sweet and the alcohol sort of sneaks by.. but nothing taste wise. i would let this sit for a while and sort of treat it like a bock...make up some Christmas story about a Santa Helles and serve to guest in the Yule season
Hey Guys, Glad you came up with a tasty beverage. But, according the Brewers Association Malt Liquor there should have NO hop flavor and aroma and very low bitterness. SRM should be 2-6. Looks like you're about 12. Long Live Mickey's Big Mouth!
Weird that it turned out so dark. ... You said it's tasty? ... well then there's no way you could call it a "Malt Liquor" as ML is usually tasteless crap 😜
The pop up is hilarious.
This is about as TGIF as it gets! Thanks again fella's!
Stopped homebrewing 5 years ago, but still enjoy your videos! Greeting from Norway. 🍺🍺🍺

@@teddytusen Correct :) Unfortunately the home theater has been turned into storage area, but there were good times
Back in the day Mickey's caps or bottles had the caption "Mickey's malt liquor gets you there quicker."
Good beer comes from brewing with friends..
@@cheesestradamus Cheers, Bob!🍻
Aha magazine just did an article about the author, brewing brewing malt liquor.
