DUDE, CONGRATS! thats and awesome bull! Once in a lifetime hunt maybe two. now you can look forward to your kids getting a tag. GFP has done it well for the people who get a tag to have a great hunt.
You could have called and promoted one of a couple blood tracking dogs in the hills and they would have been thrilled to be part of your channel and you could have witnessed the beauty of having a dog at your side if things were to get ugly.
It’s the Eberlestock F-1 mainframe with the Vapor 2500 bag. Really like it. Sure nice having a real frame for hauling meat! Also have a bunch of different bags you can swap out.
the arrow is straight as it could be, shot was good. the only thing missing is the penetration and the best way you get that is to use a two blade broadhead with a lot (275 grains) of weight in front plus the arrow. With a 650 grainer i took a frontal and it come out the rear ham.
To each their own. 650 is a little overkill, but I guess on a frontal it would come in handy. I was shooting about a 500 grain set up. Got the job done, was 4 inches from being a 50 yard down in sight situation 😂 just hit him 4 inches to far back or the back of his heart was gone. Anytime only one arrow is necessary on an elk it’s a bonus! But keep slinging those lead weights if it works for you! 🤙
Congratulations on the bull you got. I don't think it was a "twitch" on that one bull. I truly believe it was your equipment and clothing. I watched the scene more than once, and you can hear a very loud crunch like sound and in that same instant you see the bulls head snap around, looking at the source of the very unnatural sound. Then boom he was out of there.I'm only sharing this because I don't like seeing anyone work that hard and have a opportunity like that and come up empty.
Congrats! Awesome bull!
Thanks!

Great bull, well deserved. I would have liked to see the arrow disappear inside him. You hit all soft stuff and got half an arrow at 30.
Centered a rib or it woulda zipped through!
@@buckstormsd there's a lot of them. It's lucky not to hit one. I still want to see it chop two ribs.

It was 100 percent me forgetting to hold my bow back past the let off point. I guess I better hit the gym! 😂😂
that bugle is 250 yards max
Lol which one 😂
GFP shouldn't even have a rifle hunt for bulls out there. theirs nothing like the bow hunt in september.
