How are you (Birdy) not recognised as a musical genius yet? Every one of your songs are amazing and so full of depth.
Honestly tho, she doesn't need the entire world to recognize her because people like us already do. As long as she has passion to make songs, people in her life and us fans supporting her, that's all she to continue making good music. And I kinda want to gatekeep her but not like in a bad way. I just don't want her to end up like other artists that became involved in dramas and controversies like sam smith or other artists.

When there's a new Birdy video, I always press the like button even before listening to the song. Birdy, you are awesome, thanks for the great music!
To me this song is about a fake relationship, where someone puts in so much energy, but it remains unanswered or unsatisfying and the lack of equal investment is driving the relationship to the edge. At the end she puts in so much energy that it breaks her and she ends the relationship. She doesn't communicate anymore with the creature, so it feels like she disappeared to him.
