They've robbed me so many times in 10 years that nothing surprises me anymore. I don't mean the money I spent on the game, but real theft, like removing some mechanics I invested in for years. And the recipe for saving this game was simple: Make it similar to WOT on PC: Bigger maps, More players per battle, More realism. We wanted to fight tank battles, and instead we have a gay parade.
More tanks and bigger battles goes against the very doctrine blitz was founded on. The games are meant to be quick. Hence the very name blitz. The entire game was founded on the ideal of giving player a mobile experience that is a shorter version of its pc counterpart. Just accept that it’s not the pc version and move on. As for their shotty advertising and dumb events, I can agree on. But not on changing the essence of the game entirely

When I first started this game 10 years ago I learned to play, it was simple and fun, I taught my then 55 year old father to play the game, we have played it religiously through that time, he is older now and even some of the new stuff he hasn't bothered learning because he is content with knowing just the basic, as he has gotten older his mind is slowly starting to give, and this game brings min a lot of joy to play because he can play it with me, this will really upset him and probably make him quit, and me too, as the only reason I play it is to spend time with him. Thanks blitz for 10 years of great memories, I can't believe this is how it goes down, following the road of every other generic battle game, this will surely be the death of one of the best mobile games there was.
So basically. They want people with no gold to pay up and get their tanks back so WG gets money easily... Or make players farm the game so hard the average playtime skyrockets so profit for them... Not one player, but the community can protest against it and it's quite possible it's illegal at least in Europe. This is why: I have sold premium tanks for about 80,000 gold but I originally bought them for about twice as much, so let's say it's 80,000 gold equivalent to £80-100 which they want to delete without compensation. I only sold them because I was promised I could get them back for the same price - that was before the "upgrade". It's the same as selling an item worth £160 for £80 in a pawnshop because they promise you - in writing - can buy it back for about £80, then they tell you to fck off. I'm ok with play-to-win, microtransactions, gambling (crates) - it's a business after all - but deleting what you have already bought - for real currency - while the game is still running: it's just pure evil greed.

Though , i have to say that deleting tech trees and replacing them without the players being able to freely access the tanks they had previously unlocked is illegal too. What if i had spent gold for free XP (action 1) and unlocked a tank which i have now sold (buying/selling=action 2). After the update i will have lost my option (which i bought with free xp - action 1) to buy the tank (with credits-action 2). As long as something cannot be re-locked (an option which MUST be stated a priori) with compensation , it is illegal to do that. For those of you who know financial stuff , it's like selling a call option for a stock to someone and when they trigger it , you decline the transaction and don't sell them the stock at the agreed price. - 100% illegal. Unless the terms and condition of the game state anything different (now , before the update takes place) , they cannot actually do that.
Their devs on Discord are ranting that everyone on TH-cam, Reddit, and Discord are ALL wrong, and their "Supertesters" all love it. Their attitude is insane. I'm not even convinced the Devs actually play the game. "Roanvdb" in particular is completely convinced ALL the users online are wrong, he's talker to 'real' users and then said, 'most players aren't as negative as here', talking about Discord. I went to dabble in War Thunder Mobile some months back, and while the learning curve is steep, the damage modeling is fun. The Unreal engine makes it tempting to come back, but now they're giving me reasons to stay with WT Mobile.

Great if you have dozens of garage space. So you need gold to get garage space, then more gold(?) to buy old sold tanks. I was so peeved at them messing around with the Camo. Now half my lower tier tanks have none as it was costing me too much to refit camo I’d previously already bought!
with all the negative feedback they're already getting on the trailer, it wouldnt surprise me if a lot of the currently announced things will get reverted. I scrolled down through the comments and couldnt find anyone who had anything positive to say about the new way of grinding or the commanders.

ONE BIG THING!! In the video, the T67 and Pz 3/4 and VK30H were in the game “sets” as if they would be in there… pretty strange despite them saying to restore now or it’s forever gone. So so many people are gonna be confused and wait because they saw that (I saw a couple NON hate comments🤣 and they mentioned that), but DO RESTORE THEM JUST IN CASE!!!
The day that tank restoration came to the game I just knew that this was gonna be a big set up, think abt it all the crate spins and collectible tanks , they knew poeple were gonna gamble all their tanks away thinking that one day we can jus buy it back safe and sound
Also it might be worth a thought that even tanks we currently think are rather mediocre might be worth restoring for those who sold them as perhaps the whole meta will shift/change with the new commander system and who knows what else is about to come, making tanks that are now rather bad be good or vice versa.
There are a lot of unknowns about this new update. For example, what happens to tanks we have researched but have not yet purchased? I get the nasty feeling that we are going to be royally screwed by WG...

Oh man it would cost me millions of gold I have easy easy well over 100 tanks that I’ve sold. I’ve sold so many of them that I can’t even see them all in the restoration tab I have to go on to the website to see the full list. I knew I was going to never get any thing back out of this game. But I’ve sold easily 5-7,000$ worth of tanks
I'll wait for official word direct from the game, not anyone, even a developer, in a chat. Most likely we will get sufficient notice AND even a discount. My advice to restoring your tanks now is DON'T! I would only suggest to conserve gold until the time comes. A bigger consideration is probably selling your least desired premium tanks, and particularly low tier ones. Tiers 1 to 3 seem likely to be swept away in the new update, or available only in a newbie mode, so could be quite worthless. With tank selling to disappear entirely in the update, you won't get another chance to some gold for selling premium tanks.
Yep now you have a reason to work your @ss off doing the grind and wg gets playtime profit off of it. For me, I will just quit when the update goes live globally

No, I think they are doing a completely new system. Tiers won’t be a thing anymore you’ll still have your tier 10s I THINK we are getting more modern tanks tho

I went to dabble in War Thunder Mobile some months back, and while the learning curve is steep, the damage modeling is fun. The Unreal engine makes it tempting to come back, but now they're giving me reasons to stay with WT Mobile.
I've been playing this game for 10 years and like everyone else, I'm very worried about everything I'm hearing. The game is already in big trouble, and now it's going to be totally destroyed. After so many years of playing and hours spent in it, I'm going to be forced to stop playing it. .I admire the fact that WG is so greedy for money and that they don't know the limit. They never had any respect for the old players, without which the game would have failed a long time ago
Great if you have dozens of garage space. So you need gold to get garage space, then more gold(?) to buy old sold tanks. I was so peeved at them messing around with the Camo. Now half my lower tier tanks have none as it was costing me too much to refit camo I’d previously already bought!
with all the negative feedback they're already getting on the trailer, it wouldnt surprise me if a lot of the currently announced things will get reverted. I scrolled down through the comments and couldnt find anyone who had anything positive to say about the new way of grinding or the commanders.

I just came back to playing after 7 years of hiatus and was busy. Paid a lot for the events a couple months of q4 2024. Now I am just devastated and regretting I came back

ONE BIG THING!! In the video, the T67 and Pz 3/4 and VK30H were in the game “sets” as if they would be in there… pretty strange despite them saying to restore now or it’s forever gone. So so many people are gonna be confused and wait because they saw that (I saw a couple NON hate comments🤣 and they mentioned that), but DO RESTORE THEM JUST IN CASE!!!

The day that tank restoration came to the game I just knew that this was gonna be a big set up, think abt it all the crate spins and collectible tanks , they knew poeple were gonna gamble all their tanks away thinking that one day we can jus buy it back safe and sound

Also it might be worth a thought that even tanks we currently think are rather mediocre might be worth restoring for those who sold them as perhaps the whole meta will shift/change with the new commander system and who knows what else is about to come, making tanks that are now rather bad be good or vice versa.

There are a lot of unknowns about this new update. For example, what happens to tanks we have researched but have not yet purchased? I get the nasty feeling that we are going to be royally screwed by WG...

Oh man it would cost me millions of gold I have easy easy well over 100 tanks that I’ve sold. I’ve sold so many of them that I can’t even see them all in the restoration tab I have to go on to the website to see the full list. I knew I was going to never get any thing back out of this game. But I’ve sold easily 5-7,000$ worth of tanks

I'll wait for official word direct from the game, not anyone, even a developer, in a chat. Most likely we will get sufficient notice AND even a discount. My advice to restoring your tanks now is DON'T! I would only suggest to conserve gold until the time comes.
A bigger consideration is probably selling your least desired premium tanks, and particularly low tier ones. Tiers 1 to 3 seem likely to be swept away in the new update, or available only in a newbie mode, so could be quite worthless. With tank selling to disappear entirely in the update, you won't get another chance to some gold for selling premium tanks.
WTM should begin adding the top tier tanks from eotb to their game

Why doesn't WG announce the deletion of the tank restoration function? Strangely enough, a TH-camr is announcing it instead. Shouldn't the game developer convey these important matters directly to the player?
