I'm 21 years old now and I remember that I didn't like when my dad was cursing when I was little and it was always making me very uneasy and scared (he would usually curse when he got angry at something, so thats why). When I became teenager I started cursing quite a lot and I have been doing it for years, but in august this year I became a Christian and decided to stop cursing at all. For me personally, after 3 months of not cursing at all, it feels so much better and all the curse words seem so unnecessary and out of place to me. I also want to have kids in the future and I will for sure raise them without cursing. :) That's my experience and perspective on that! :)
I swear around my daughter - but not AT my daughter, if that makes sense. I try not to, but it comes out sometimes of course, I’m human!❤ As for Rosie, if she’s singing it in a song, I don’t mind if she swears. Or if she has a question about a curse word she can say it. But she has to be mindful of WHO she is around and WHERE she is. She can’t just go around singing swear words in songs in front of her grandparents or in the middle of school or a store. She knows how to read the room lol 😂 BUT every kid is different. That same philosophy may not work for everyone’s family!
Curse words are not just words, they spread out hate and negativity into the universe which may come back to you. Kids are so innocent and pure, why would we want a kid to ruin his innocence by cursing? They can make their own decision as an adult if they want to curse or not. Just my honest opinion. 🤷♀️
my mom took up the idea that when I was younger cursing in the house was ok, but outside our family I needed to hold my tongue. Looking back as an adult I'm grateful for that perspective :)
I swear by my birks and socks combo! Every day in the colder months and no socks in summer. I am away from home at the moment and packed the birks and socks for around the hotel room. So funny to hear about your love of that combo Dani !! 😅
Hi lovely, my perspective is I don’t want my daughters to swear because I feel like by saying those words people may view them negatively. Other parents, teachers, future employers etc. I think it’s better to try not to say them. I’m not perfect with it but I try to swear as little as I can xx
I’m a Mama of 3 little boys ages 7 to 1. I grew up in the ranch cussing, hearing my parents cuss, and all the things. My husband however grew up never hearing his parents cuss and being much more “formal” if you will. I think I try to tone down my cussing when the kids are around especially my 7 and 5 year old. Of course, I’m human and I make mistakes and slip up, but I don’t want my kids repeating anything at school, in front of my husbands parents, things like that. I think either direction you lean, you can teach time and a place to you son. 💕
Always excited when I see a new video❤ The cursing part reminds of “I don’t care if you say yes ma’am or yes sir here, but you’re saying it out there” if that makes sense
I also curse a lot. I personally decided not to curse in front of my daughter when I was at the park and heard a few kids, maybe 9-10 years old max, cursing non-stop. Also, awesome video 🥰❤️
Nice one, Dani. I drop the occasional f-bomb because that's how everyone spoke that I knew/know. Not constantly (for most people), but whenever the occasion called for it.😅 The tea infuser looked interesting. It reminded me that I haven't had a cup of tea in about...a looong time.🕔 Enjoy your evening.🙂
A good favorite to have ....old navy jeans when they go on sale for 15-20 and the blogger sweats😊❤ but only on sale because these stores can get crazy with prices
With my daughter, I am not sure how to go about this ... i am trying so hard not to curse from doing it all the time. I grew up with it, and I'd rather my daughter not do it. I know I will slip up one time, and she'll hear it not to mention out and about she definitely will. I guess I'll just cross that bridge when it happens. Just do the best you can and let the rest come as it comes ❤
Glucosamine chondroitin with msm triple strength 2x daily for joints amd muscles. I have horrible knees and since having my son they fill with fluid. When I take this regularly it is a world of difference. Just have to take 1 in a.m and 1 in p.m definitely after a whole ass meal or nausea will set in😮
I used to curse alot but i went with the no cursing parenting direction so it naturally slowed down but I did teach her they were naughty adult words. I stand by my decision because she never swore whereas my friends who tried to do the home thing it was hard for their kids to keep it out of their vocabulary in other settings so it got them in trouble
Great video love. I crused often..Until I had my Kids. I'm in my thirties now and when they were little I chilled out on swearing.Because I didn't you know want to say a bad word and then my little one run around calling everything a a hole or something like that even though it's kind of funny.. However it didn't matter anyway because my son when he had his truck would call it the f word😂😂😂 And mind you, that wasn't a word I said around him, but now that they are both teenagers.. It tends to fly out a lot more these days😂😂. But at this point they know not to ya know 😂❤ you got this mama whatever works for u and yours is right.
My whole family cursed. When I was a kid my parents always told me those were private words and if you say them you never direct them to other people. Obviously as an adult I know that’s not always the case but it worked when I was a kid for me to not repeat them.
I don't use profanity in my personal life BUT I do work in a prison, where profanity is part of the lingo. I do my best to stay professional. I'm transparent with my kids about cursing but we don't do it in our house. I encourage them to think of a better word, but they also know that words are just words.
When I was a first time mom I tried so hard not to curse.... By kid two it went out the window. My kids know they are "grown up" words and my 2 year old even understands when he repeats one that he shouldn't have. So I continue to use my bad words lol
Hi Danielle 🙂 I have grown up in a house where there was lots of swearing 🤬 but I go to church, so I'm not comfortable with it. I felt like swearing as I watched your election results coming in 😭, including your state. Of course, you should do whatever works for you. Didn't you make a swearing video a few years ago 🤔? It was nice to hear you talking about your great gran. ❤️
I think if you don’t want him to curse at school/around other children etc then don’t let him at home. It will be hard for a young kid to understand why he can do it at home but not at X Y Z Places.
I have always been a potty mouth. I have tried to clean it up but I definitely still swear. My 3yr old told us last night we shouldn’t say Fuck when my husband ran into something and swore because it hurt. Then proceeded to tell us when he’s big like daddy he can say fuck too when he hits his leg on something.
cursing usually isn’t a big deal but i think context matters. like if you stub ur toe the F word is totally understandable. but some words aren’t nice at all tho, like calling someone a “B!t*h”. so if someone is swearing _at_ you- i find it very disrespectful. moderation is key too… bc it’s kinda trashy when ppl cuss so often. i prefer to stay classy & avoid that kind of language if i can

If he dropped something and said ‘fuck’, cool I would rather he didn’t but I can’t be a hypocrite , if he told me or anyone else to ‘fuck off’ that’s not okay with me. I wouldn’t want him using any words now though as a small child and that’s why I don’t swear around him- however I worked in schools for a long time so got very used to withholding that side of myself 😂
There’s a time and place for cursing, personally I wouldn’t curse around little ears, but that’s what I myself would do, what you do Dani will be completely different, anyways great video
Personal experience as a mom of 4 is that children soak up all the things you didn’t think they even heard. Repeating curse words at preschool not great lol needless to say we are a curse free home now!
I think cursing is only a problem if they use it in a mean way, like swearing at someone. But then it’s just as harmful as saying anything else mean (non curse words). I plan to teach my 1.5 year old daughter not to curse in public or in front of certain family members that are offended by swearing. BUT I feel very strongly against saying it’s a bad word. I’ll be teaching her “that’s an adult word” or something of the sort. Also I think once they’re old enough to understand the nuance of curse words, I should be able to listen to music or a tv show with cursing😂 My boyfriend and I disagree on this, so I literally cannot watch tv in my own living room because the kids are always around and basically every single show that exists for adults has at least a little cursing. His kids are 6 and 9 and know they aren’t allowed to swear, but as soon as someone on tv stubs their toe and says “shit” I have to turn it off. I’m annoyed about that 😂
Curse words are not just words, they spread out hate and negativity into the universe which may come back to you. Kids are so innocent and pure, why would we want a kid to ruin his innocence by cursing? They can make their own decision as an adult if they want to curse or not. Just my honest opinion. 🤷♀️

I understand this perspective completely! I can definitely see how that would've scared you as a child.
I love these random favorites videos! Great job Dani! ❤

@@Mada_94_ I Dont think everyone gives the words that kind of meaning. Some people see curse words as just another word.
