Ming Dynasty is beloved by the Han. This TV production first introduced the first Emperor and the third Emperor, then in between the second one in succession is very dramatic.

Like one of the comments says, watching this because of Cheng Yi. Without subtitle, it's hard to understand what's going on. Too many characters appear almost simultaneously, it gets confusing and boring; even though those senior actors and actresses are really good. However, Cheng Yi never disappoints. He is super cute and takes acting seriously; no matter what role he plays, he always looks the part. He looks so young here, just like a teenager. He surely doesn't need too much make-up. What a handsome young man.
Can we get subtitles in English (and other languages) please? I'd love to see and especially UNDERSTAND this series. I only now discovered it after checking for other projects from Feng Shao Feng.

I'm watching this while I'm waiting for Immortal Samsara's new episode. Although it's just a supporting role, I'm glad that I'm able to watch his acting again here.
I advise you to watch "love between fairy and Devil" it's also very cool. As for immortal samsara I skipped episodes because I found it boring I just watch episode about the demon king xuanxiang. And still waiting for him to appear soon

看劇的調性吧～正劇考據一點好，穿越、武俠之類的可以發揮創意沒關係～

@@patw5550 the Era of emperor kangxi is another good one, but the background is in Qing dynasty which ruled by minority people so a bit different.
