I would recommend an SSD (although they might be a little more expensive) simply because an SSD will live longer. Just a couple days ago my Seagate 2TB HDD died after only ~2 years of use, that was the only HDD in my system too (I have 1 NVME and 2 very old, shitty 2.5" SSD's I found (stole) at work and even they outlived it). So if you can definitely invest in an SSD.

@@zoe-zz9qz that is actually false, an HDD has much more longlivity than a SSD, altough the HDD is more vulnurable to "physical interactions" such as shaking and so forth.
Best bet is to buy a Western Digital HDD, those outlive SSD by multiple times and should live around 12 years if you are just doing gaming
