i put 9 psi on my ball and it doesn't bounce as well as those you see in nba games. aren't they suppose to be the same ball if i bought directly from spalding? what gives?

They always refuse to play with my wilson evolution game ball cuz it's pumped and measured to have 7.5 psi. The worst thing is I practice with my properly pumped ball and nothing sticks when I play cuz the ball won't bounce at all lol.
Do you moisten the needle before inserting? It looks like you put it in dry, so without lubrication. No pun intended. I am team manager for a volleyball team in Belgium and I always use Select Valve Oil. This is perfect for keeping the valve lubricated when inserting the needle. All balls are still in perfect condition, no broken valves.

What happens when you insert the needle without moisting it? I just deflated 5 basketballs in 5 months. And there's gotta be a reason why?
