April Wine was the first band I saw in concert in the early 80's. They have a unique sound. They have 4 guitars in the band. Bass and 3 other that can play play lead or rhythm. Lead singer also plays guitar. Many great hits. Their best ballad JUST BETWEEN YOU AND ME.

Yeah April Wine THUMPS…you really should give a listen to their song “I Like To Rock”. If you do, you must play the official music video, 15 million+ views says it all. You don’t get the lyrics on screen but you get to see these lads THUMP in person in the same studio that Rush used for their song “Tom Sawyer”. Gotta be your next April Wine video imo.

April Wine is a great band with lots of great songs. Whoever in the chat described them as a 1 hit wonder, I'd say that's in the running for
    Worst Take Ever...some others,
I like To Rock... Sign Of The Gypsy Queen... All Over Town... Crash And Burn. I could go on, but I rest my case, almost, I'll also mention, the guitar sound in an April Wine Song is achieved by having 3 legitimate lead guitarist in the band, any of which could be the feature in 95% of all other bands

Another Canadian rock Band to check out is Prism. They are a hidden gem that has few reaction videos. Their self titled 1977 Album "Prism" has three strong tracks: "Spaceship Superstar", "Open Soul Surgery", and "Take Me to the Kaptin." Like April Wine, they had catchy tunes with awesome guitar riffs, soaring vocals and great harmonies. Bruce Fairbairn, song writer Jim Vallance, lead singer Ron Tabak, guitarist Lindsay Mitchell, put together Prism. Also Bryan Adams wrote songs for Prism in his pre-fame days. Fairbairn started his career as a record producer for Prism. His most successful productions are and by Bon Jovi, , , and by Aerosmith, by AC/DC, and by Van Halen, each of which sold at least three million copies.

This song was written as a show closer. They performed it live for quite awhile before recording it and releasing it. Thus all the "bye bye" stuff at the end.

Lost count how many April Wine concerts I've enjoyed. Canadian bands like April Wine would tour Canada coast to coast promoting every album release. Canadian summers in the 80s were awesome going to live shows seeing Canadian bands like April Wine, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Headpins, Triumph, Loverboy, Aldo Nova, Chilliwack and even a band called Toronto.
American bands annually too like Foreigner, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Foghat, Blue Öyster Cult, Pat Travers Band and Toto. Imports like Midnight Oil and Supertramp. Blessed 20s!
