People might not mean to "mess up" and that might not make them a bad person, but they still need to accept that what they do can cause untold trauma. The resentment they apparently feel will be because now they have to go out and be nice to people to get sex- actually make an effort.
This!! It's our responsibility to heal our traumas and acknowledge when we knowingly or unknowingly hurt others. It's unfair especially to those of us with complex trauma from say, severe childhood abuse but as adults we do need to do the work.
