Ive dyed my hair with a couple strange things now, and when I got the comment to try FOOD DYE!

ella lawrie it’s actually healthy for your hair to put dye on in when it’s super bleached (when it’s vegan leave in dye) because you’re putting colour deposits in the hair, refilling the lost bonds and making the hair stronger :) not sure about food colour though

Try koolaid and conditioner. Swear after like an hour its practically almost the same as splat hair dye. Lol

Not talking about with water. She said it's messy cause it uses alot of water. I'm saying mix the koolaid directly into conditioner.
Speaking from experience, koolaid literally NEVER washes out. It stains the everloving mess out of your hair and won't go away. You can only grow it out.

I think if you add vinager with the food color it would work. That's how I used to dye my Easter eggs back in my day lol
But you'd smell really bad
The smell of vinegar goes away as it dries.
Vinegar is probably to break down the egg shell enough for it to absorb more color
My friend put food coloring on two strands of her hair directly and it stayed on for at least a month

Usually food colouring is just vegetable dye, which essentially is what manic panic and a lot of vegan semi colour dyes

As a stylist I recommend making the color a shade darker then you want so it gets the true intensity :) and no I don’t recommend using anything but hair dye but if you want to try it again make it darker in color when you mix it :)

i know this has nothing to do with the video, but here’s a fluffy blueberry pancake recipe because i like pancakes :)
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1+ cup fresh blueberries
more butter for the pan
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the milk and vinegar and let it sit for a minute or two (you’re making “buttermilk” here).
Whisk the dry ingredients together. Whisk the egg, milk, and melted butter into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Melt a little smear of butter in the pan (essential for giving a yummy golden brown crust).
Pour about 1/3 cup of batter into the hot skillet and spread it flat-like (it will be pretty thick). Arrange a few blueberries on top. Cook until you see little bubbles on top and the edges starting to firm up. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the pancakes are sky-high fluffy and cooked through.
Serve with butter and maple syrup.

Newsflash, punk rockers did this in the late 70s because getting funky colored hair dye wasn't very easy. Manic Panic was brand new and only available at their shop in NYC so if you went to NYC you'd load up for you and your friends. There was another brand in London whose name I can't remember now but the only way to get it was if someone went to the UK they'd load up for their friends.
