What a grounded man Nick is. I just found about this band of yours, is good to see you again. I abandoned the guitar a while ago cuz I was no good at it, but I feel like starting over with it and hopefully play this song one day! ((:
I don’t like naming previous work cause you and Ryan are more than your previous bands. But for the sake of comparison, I’ve fallen in love with your style, YOUR sound since TPR. I feel like that record is really when you came into your own with leads and I always look forward to hearing some Hipa shreds. Keep the videos coming man, I love seeing all the guitar stuff from you guys.
в 13 років я закохався в as a lay dying, потім почув wovenwar і мені одразу сподобалось, цей звук був чимось рідним і одразу запав мені в душу, потім дізнався що це тіж самі люди грають, тому можу сказати що руки що грають на інструменті дуже багато значать❤ соло гітару Ніка можна реально відчути що це саме він🤯 *** at the age of 13 I fell in love with "as a lay dying", then I heard "wovenwar" and I immediately liked it, this sound was something native and immediately fell into my soul, then I found out that it is also played by the same people, so I can say that the hands that playing an instrument means a lot❤ Nick's solo guitar you can really feel that it's him🤯
I love that Caparison. I look forward to the day I walk into the platinum room and get the opportunity to finger one of these. Hopefully there's either a EVH 5150 stealth or killer Line 6 something to plug into.
Thanks for this Nick! Definitely helps us understand what's going on and provides a framework to use. I love the "sing it in your head" first approach, works really well for me.
Found this video after seeing a blip on my wife’s Instagram, glad I did. Keep the guitar nerdery comin! Derped around on the Phrygian dom after watching this, good times. Rad vid, rad guitar, rad dude! Cool way to approach solos. Motivation to get the chops up. Thanks for making this. Ps where is this filmed? I’m always scoping that sick gear in the back of these videos 🤤
I appreciate you doing this video. You broke that down with some theory, but not so much that it lost me like most of my other favorite guitar players do! I have a feeling I’m actually take something away from this one… and I wasn’t really looking for solo advice. Convenient timing, I’ve been struggling to write out a solo for a few days. The jam over it on loop has gotten me through the first half. Side note. Are you doing Skype lessons these days?
As an amateur intermediate player, this is some awesome advice on how to lay down a sweet solo! Cheers!
Glad you dig it dude ! Make the methods your own !
The way you explain things is just awesome! Please give us more of that!🤘
More to come ! 🤘🏻

What is your favorite scale to play Nick? I am obsessed with the harmonic minor scale. I struggle with Melody so this is very educational.
