She is a reliative novice I would say, so is proceeding cautiously and is focused on hits rather than time.... good for her..... That has always been my philosophy... the speed comes with time, without sacrificing accuracy of safety....

Who cares if she is, or is not, slow? She is shooting! She is having a blast! Wow I am here in my office wishing I were at the range.
She's wise to focus on shooting first and movement speed second. Speed will come naturally with more practice. I can't count the number of times I've seen people DQ themselves by rushing and flubbing their fundamentals or stumbling outside the zone.
She'd probably have better recoil management if she would grip stronger with the support hand. You can see the gun jumping up and out and back down on the support hand, and the muzzle flipping up instead of straight back into the arms.
Nice shooting! Shes pretty good, shes not slow its just that its more of a challenge shooting without optics and not having a highly modified gun (I respect people who compete without optics and a highly modified race gun cause you know they are good shooters with good eyesight, good gun control and definitely a good aim...IMO)... so I would say shes pretty good at Level III. :D

Do people still make these comments? She shoots like any officer (male/female) new to the sport of IPSC. That's the double edged sword with being a police officer and a competitive pistol shooter (especially in IPSC). From the policing apect it's drummed into you that you're accountable for every round and every round must be "centre mass" for the purpose of qualification. However, in IPSC (for example), you're repeatedly warned that time is your killer and accuracy takes a back seat to speed.

Looks Good for a beginner, altough she seemed a bit unstable at her own skills at some points...
It bothers me more, actually, that there are shooting competitions in countries where the general population isn't allowed to participate because they can't have a firearm. Like Soviet Olympians, on an entirely different version of communism than the rest of the country, a privileged class. If your fellow citizens (subjects) can't participate, you shouldn't either.

that lady has chosen the wrong caliber for sure. The recoil is moving her whole arms, this results in longer aim positioning..
MrHollabk She's probably shooting 9mm which is the softest option there is really, .38 isn't allowed in most competitions and the other common caliber is .45 ACP which kicks even harder. She'd be better off training recoil management or modding the gun, a comp does help a lot.

maybe switch to 9mm if it isn't already.. recoil looked a little strong and she would be more consistent if she could manage that muzzle rise and dip

Most women shooters have grip problems because of their forearm size,small framed Asian women in general.
I also shoot, but i dont think it makes girl more attractive if they can shoot. Not at all!

She gets into her shooting stance before the buzzer. There are always a few guys who won't stand relaxed while waiting for the buzzer. I like catching them walking upright afterward and asking them, "Did you go to the chiropractor". They're typically confused, so I explain, you were all bent over in the shooting box, like you couldn't straighten up. It pisses some of them off. I don't care. Tombstone is not a starting position.
