Got mine yesterday at microcenter for 219$ (Dallas TX). Employee recommended it to me when I was naturally about to purchase a seasonic. Assembling my build today
I'm planning on buying a 850w version of that PSU cause it looks great value for the money at 130 to 140 dollars (from what I've seen) and I'm hoping lian li makes a 240 version of that AIO cause it makes life so much easier
I learned my lesson with Lian Li. I followed everybodies praise of their Galahad II late last year, but have had to have it replaced under warranty twice due to faulty fan design.. It's not worth being fast-acting because reviewers only see a few hours, maybe days, not long term when issues arise. When you mentioned it uses the Galahad II AIO pump, ohhhh boy...
Love the edge, big improvement in psu design, molex soldered straight to board and it's basically mounted flat on a wall which is ideal. Downside, the cables are better than some but still a pretty inexcusable mess. I haven't seen one build with clean cables in the back. Cablemods doesn't seem to make em because lian li isn't providing the pinout. 90 degree connectors to the PSU would be beautiful.
Love my 1000watt Edge, and thinking of going with the Hydroshift over my Corsair iCue Link H150i LCD AIO and 10 QX system fans. Still lots of back side cable clutter in my white Dynamic EVO XL, but such a simple idea makes building so much easier, and the USB2 hub is needed in all PSUs. Just wish the Edge was a Seasonic made PSU.
That's a great innovation, but I keep asking for one thing...in many non-sff pc cases the area the PSU sits often has a large unoccupied gap that can be utilized if PSUs are upgraded to include UPS features. So the same way a case can hold 400mm+ of a GPU, can't manufacturers innovate a PSU + UPS = Prosumer Level Integrated Power Supply????
Yep I soon as I saw these four months ago I just got these both on Friday and gotta say they make my build perfect I love the tubeless design and the usb on the power supply is the most genius and awesome pc idea to ever exist imo
Mine(Lian Li 1000w)was a dud. Went with the xc1000 with 600w gpu plug like this, and it fired right up. I had two of these make the dreaded click click noise, showing power on motherboard, but would not fire up. The eVga came up on first boot, so it wasn't any fault of mine. The only thing I will miss is the USB 2.0 extra ports, but for less than $10, I found a USB 2.0 internal hub. I love their infinity fans as I have 8 of those, and daisy chaining them is so easy!
Loved the look of this cooler. In the bios idle temps were great, 31ish. As soon as I launched the software things went crazy. Idle temps went from 38-40 spiking to almost 60 at times, AT idle. Under a cinebench load never got above 82-85. I thought maybe I had a bad mount so I remounted it. No difference in temps. I uninstalled the software (with revo) and idle temps were back in the 32-33 range in Windows. So the cooler works good without the software and looks great with the tubes tucked away but I just can't have those crazy idle temps or just stare at a LL logo with no software. Big disappointment! Really wanted to love it. Going back to Artic.
Can u guys tell me whether i could install the PSU in my Lancool 216 Case ? I mean would it be kinda useless because its not meant for non dual chamber cases ?
i honestly dont see the point of them. and i am a Lian Li guy, got a 011D Mini, and no i wont just be getting them just because. Though I cant get either, because the case cant fit either of them. Though, I do have a bracket to fit a 360 radiator at the top, but this has an additional unnecessary piece that makes it longer than 360, so what point?
The psu isn’t advertising a cybernetics noise rating? If they got ‘A-A++’ they would have put it front and center. That means at the very best it’s ’standard++’ which is ~35db. Theres a lot of psu’s with 12-20db so it’s unfortunate that in 2024 companies are releasing flagship platinum psu’s with such terrible noise ratings.
Highly doubtful. If that were true, noctua wouldn’t survive as a business. Afterall not all of us use a i9 and the simple care aircoolers offer is so worry free I wouldn’t want an aio.
@@robeytech Also the new way to cable manage and the blue on the connectors to make sure everything is connected is really something unique a d should be the new standard for psus
Just got mine (the PSU), I'm glad I waited on getting my pc parts. This will be a part of my 1st build :)
It feels amazing buying, saving and collecting parts over the months, to finally piece them together and press the power button for the first time.
I just love LianLi. They come with so many new ideas, which is always really interesting! 360r is the most interesting to me!
Yeah, hiding hoses is a thing!
Facts this is amazing.

this proves that Lian Li is still the King of innovation

Looking good! Got me from thinking of doing an A3 build with TL fans and new AIO to maybe a larger case to show the components off more.

I expect new Lian Li components, these always surprised me by innovate functions.
My question is: How quiet & thermal comparing the Hydroshift and EK-Nucleus AIO CR300, under load? That's a major question!

Curious to see where the edge psu lands on the tier list 🤔 I wanna get it but after there last psu's I'm hesitant
It's platinum rated (with 3 companies) and with military grade components. Would be surprised if it's not A

If only they'd sleeved the cables. I don't like bare cables in my case.
The Edge cables are sleeved
@@robeytech I mean a single sleave containing all the cables which would negate the need for those sliding brackets.
AIO will soon make air coolers obsolete. I've upgraded both my gaming pc's and I've been using air coolers the last 20+ years.
Maybe with lower TDP CPUs you could see a resurgence. Air coolers are simpler and less can fail.
AIO's are great, but air coolers will have their place in the market. Less to go wrong.

Too bad there software is full of issues . High cpu usage , lcd cooler disconnects . Just had enough and removed my gallahad II lcd and tl lcd fans .
Yeah, agreed!
300 for an aio? No thx. And I thought car prices were crazy.
They have 2 of them under $200
❤
Nice right?
