Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh I'm a revert to Islam and am slowly opening my eyes to the truth of Islam. My initial introduction into the teachings of Islam has been mainly Salafi. After much searching and making dua'a to Allah Subhannahu wa ta a'laa to guide me to the correct understanding of the deen, I now feel like my understanding is starting to become purified. The pleasure of Allah comes not in fearing him and living in terror if his punishment. The pleasure of Allah comes from being in awe of his majesty and his love. Muslims should allow themselves to understand that the love of Allah and of his creation should be prioritised over the fear of punishment. Fearing punishment for showing love to your fellow man, regardless of their religion or persuasion is not Islamic. Only Allah can judge.
May the peace and blessings of the almighty be upon you all. Ameen.

Mike Molokhia ahlaykoum salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,
Sufism is not islam ! Sufis are lost ! this is a satannic sect !
There is not an act of worship in Islam or a pathway that is called Sufism. Sufism is an innovation that was encouraged by despots and rulers to keep religious people away from participating actively in running the general affairs of the land. They encouraged people to isolate themselves. Otherwise, their active presence would represent a danger that could rattle the stability of such tyrannical regimes.
Those regimes aimed to suspend the rationale of those religious people and delude them that seeking personal nearness to Allah by using Thiker/ remembrance of Allah Al Mighty and other acts of worship whilst living in isolation within the society would enable them to reach a sublime position.
Those regimes will subsequently be safe from any religiously motivated uprising against the ruling elite. Initially, that was what happened, that was how Sufism first started.
Sufis fell in the tarp. They forget that Allah Al Mighty made it dutiful for each and every believer to strive and establish the Truth and Justice and enjoin Good and Prohibit Evil.
Over time and due to their isolation and wool wearing habit, new ideas and conceptions started to circulate among them. The source of that was Evil. It blew in their hearts such trends due to their isolation and loneliness.
It is a Makrooh, frowned upon, act to isolate oneself from his immediate surroundings. In addition, sticking to practical acts of worship only like prayers, fasting and supplications for example is equally frowned upon. Belief should be a holistic condition. You need both practical and contemplating acts.
“One hour of contemplation is more worthy than a year long of practical worship”, said the prophet peace be upon him and his family in Al Tuhfa Al Sunnia by Al Jaza’airi page 72.

Hasan Ali I tell the truth about this satanic sect, when did the Great Prophet (p) say to be a Sufis ????
The Great Prophet would have even said that the Sufis are worse than unbelievers and that they are the people of the fire.
Wake up before it is too late the authentic Islam is that of Muhammad (p) and his holy and pure family (as).
When Imam Al Sadiq peace be upon him was asked about the Sufis, he said: “they are our enemies. Whoever is inclined to them is of them and will be gathered with them on Judgement Day. There will be people who claim that they love us, but will be inclined to the Sufis, they will resemble them, they will use their titles; they will replicate their words. Whoever is inclined to them is not of us. We reject those ones; whoever denies them and responds to their words will be granted the status of performing Jihad with the prophet peace be upon him and his family” Safinat Al Bihar by Al Qumi vol 2, page 57.

Sufism in Ahl Sunna is Irfan in Shia Islam. Irafan means awareness and consciousness and the real meaning of the word Taqwa is to be God conscientious whether you commit a Good act or refrain from a bad act. It has it roots in Quran and teaching of Ahl beit of the prophet (as). Most of Sufi shaykhs of Ahl Sunna were Sayyed and come from a lineage of Imams of Ahl beit. Like Sayyed Baha Al-deen Naqshband, Sayyed Muhiy Aldeen Chisti, Sayyed Abdul Quader Gilani, Sayyed Ahmad Rufa'ei who if from great Grand children of Imam Kazim. Have your satanic shaykh who calls other Muslim Kafir Yasir Habib has told you that Imam Musa Kazim (as) had a daughter by the name of Ayesha?? Has the son of bitch told you that Imam Ali Al Haadi had a daughter by the name Ayesha? Has the sob told you that Imam Ali bin Hussein Zain Al Abedin had som by the name of Omar Ashraf? And Imam Hassan and Imam Ali had sons named after the first 3 khalifs?
What that stupid moron tells you is not about Imam Ali as what he says everyone who did not follow the Ahl beit is purely Kaffir that means 9/10 of the Muslim Umma. Based on his understanding billions of people who lived through the ages who were not familiar with the Ahl beit are Kuffar.

An excellent introduction to the Sufi phenomenon. Over many decades (beginning from a very academic position) I have come to realise that the point raised in Sufism regarding different ways of viewing reality, dealt with eloquently here, is central. Quantum theory began with the problem that light is sometimes a wave and sometimes a particle. This is a problem for the intellectual mind. But thousands of years ago the Sufis understood that there is no single easy way of describing reality, and that you need to approach things from a lot of different angles and not decide that one angle is "the right one" and the others are "wrong." In science theories rise, as Newtonian physics did, but are eventually overturned by others, and this can go on forever. If that is so for what seems like a solid simple universe, how much more must it be true for such a mind boggling subject as the nature of God?
For a brilliant survey of the role of Sufis in Western history, the Sufi teacher Idries Shah's book The Sufis is vital reading.

Go learn about Islam, sufism or tasawwuf is part of Islam, the prophet Muhammad was the greatest tasawwuf of all. Anyway there are no real tasawwafeen anymore. There are many stupids like you who think they know about things and run around and play and invent silly dum stuff. Take care, grow up and don't play with things you know nothing about.

Rumi's Poem, "Love Dogs" as translated and read by Coleman Barks..
Musical accompaniment by Eugene Friesen and Arto Tuncboyaciyan.
    th-cam.com/video/TrUd62LwJBY/w-d-xo.html
    Love Dogs by Rumi
One night a man was crying,
    "Allah, Allah!"
His lips grew sweet with the praising,
    until a cynic said,
    "So! I have heard you
calling out, but have you ever
    gotten any response?"
The man had no answer for that.
He quit praying and fell into a confused sleep.
He dreamed he saw Khidr, the guide of souls,
    in a thick, green foliage,
    "Why did you stop praising?"
"Because I've never heard anything back."
    "This longing you express
    is the return message."
The grief you cry out from
    draws you toward union.
Your pure sadness that wants help
    is the secret cup.
Listen to the moan of a dog for its master.
    That whining is the connection.
There are love dogs no one knows the names of.
Give your life to be one of them.

Question: What is the purpose of life? why are we here?
Response 1: Man uses his intellect to answer these questions -- philosophy is born
Response 2: A tradition emerges in the Indian subcontinent where it is believed that "the self" can open the door to all answers i.e. if we somehow unlock the secrets of our own self we might be able to reach where the divine self is located. Practices and meditations are developed overtime to purify the self, travel through the self and reach reality/answers. The most prominent figure in this tradition is Buddha.
Response 3: A third tradition emerges in the Middle East where a supernatural being (God) makes a contact with humans and tells them answers to all questions -- Abrahamic faiths are born.
In Islamic tradition the scholars who created a patchwork between philosophy and Islam were known as "Mutakalimeen". They gave birth to Ilm-e-Kalam or 'scholastic theology'. Similarly the scholars who created patchwork between Islam and religions of the "self" were known as "Mutasawifeen" and they gave birth to Islamic Sufism.

Sufism is too advance for normal muslims. Its like getting phd in spirituality. most normal muslims especially wahabis think doing 5 times salah and living materialstic life will lead you to janna they are heavily mistaken 5 times salah is to remembering Allah (swt) but way of sufism is more intimate and personal connection with Allah(swt) that only happens when we give up materialstic desires and lifestyle and completely immerse ourselves in devotion and sing about him, praying, meditate upon Allah (swt) that gives us blissful experience.

    If then you perceive me,
    you perceive yourself.
    But you cannot perceive me
    through yourself,
    It is through my eyes
that you see me and see yourself,
Through your eyes you cannot see me.
    Dearly beloved!
I have called you so often
and you have not heard me
I have shown myself to you so often
    and you have not
    seen me.
I have made myself fragrance so often,
and you have not smelled me.
    Savorous food,
and you have not tasted me.
Why can you not reach me
    through the object you touch
Or breathe me through sweet perfumes?
Why do you not see me?
Why do you not hear me?
    Why? Why? Why?

Im assured this is very close, if not what God says, looking down at humans on Earth. I am a Christian, but I have this same understanding. Pertaining to God...he sees us, and says these things to himself/ mankind. Why do we not seek him& see that he is good?..he is love. The way to peace.

@@NAKK786 it's funny that you say that because my God says..

He also says he is the Rock, the foundation, the cornerstone of exsistance.
He says he is the stone, and the way to everlasting.
It takes a certain level of faith, to believe in Christ. To believe the Almighty God, a spirit, could create himself, in human form, and still remain in the spirit, whole, and simultaneously in a body, on Earth, Emmanuel ( The Christ) coming down to live with us, suffer with us, only to die for us, sacrificing his divine and innocent blood, to cover our debt of sin.. Creating a way to reconciliation for us, back to his Almighty self/ being. Giving us rules and guidance, to live by while here, and a sure way to cleanse our souls of unrighteousness.. And our tainted ways and hearts, in the world. That we may be presented clean before him, through acceptance of his sacrifice, that we would be made holy... Which we must be to accompany the Holy of Holies presence, through faith in his sacrifice, and obedience to his guidance.
It may be hard for non- believers to accept/ comprehend. But I have a relationship with my God, Christ, who is alive, and though the concept is hard to grasp( even for myself at times), he has proven himself to me, to be the ultimate embodiment of love...and from where all good things flow and I believe in him, and have been made anew, day by day, getting to know this loving God. But to each his own..
I have seen too much of him in the world and my life, to deny my personal testament. All the best to you. Shalom

Where are all of these gods? While the people and the earth struggle under the tyranny of others who cause pain and suffering for their pleasure and their own gain, these Gods have done nothing to stop them. They have never shown themselves or revealed themselves in any way, other than in the minds of some. They continue to allow horrific acts of violence against people and animals and we are only given a promise of a better life after the suffering of this one is over. Have they made an error? Are they not able to stop suffering or are they just unwilling? There are hundreds of religions too, each one saying they are the true religion and the others are wrong? How would we know, wouldn't there be a clear choice and option if the date of your skill depended on following the rules and teachings of that god!? It seems to me that there are many unanswered questions when it comes to religion and one should study and use common sense when deciding what path to choose.

I can't speak for Judaism or Islam, but I was always taught in Christianity, that the creator imbued us with free will, the ability to make our own decisions. So while we may do as we please the challenge is to live as he asks us to live and in return peace and forgiveness and redemption can all be achieved. Your soul will be saved if you uphold your end of the deal. He will uphold his end.

Sophism is not spiritual dimension of Islam. It is a bluff. It is a different, parallel and opposite religion. Since it has to survive in Muslim society, initially it claims to follow ‘sharriyet’ & practices the tenets of Islam. But as one goes deeper to the level of ‘tareeqat’ and ma’refet/Haqeeqat, the reality comes out in full colour. There is no room here to discuss its basics and components. Those interested are advised to read the books by knowledgeable scholars. May Allah SWT save us all from this zalalat! Amen.

The reason Allah says poets are strayed off the path and misguided and only atrayers and misguided like Sufis, Orafaa and those who follow poets follow them is because, they Do Not have any Instructions as to how to save themselves and go back to the heaven.

Allah does not call poets misguided once, Allah said Mohammad was not a poet but a prophet. This must be where you are confused. We cannot be Mohammad, he was the last prophet, but we can be poets. Mohammad was not a mere poet is the message.
